How to Draw a Missle
I decided for this next tutorial I should do something that was different but easy. Today I will be showing you an easy way to draw an MX Missile. What exactly is an MX missile you ask. During the 1970s, the US Department of Defense developed a new missile system, called the MX system which means “Missile Experimental.” The whole purpose of the MX system was to be the next phase of ballistic missile warfare. This weapon was not meant to be part of the antimissile campaign, instead these intercontinental ballistic missiles or ICBMs was used to be aimed at the USSR in case they made a "first strike" attack upon the US. This deadly missile was built all over the Southwest parts of the United States. Another name used for these missiles was "The Peacekeeper" and it is still known to be the largest ICBM in the U.S. arsenal to date. The weight of this massive piece of metal is around 195,000 pounds and stands over 70 feet tall. It is 92 inches in diameter, and has a distance range of over 6,000 miles which basically means it can be in Russian territory in roughly 30 minutes. When traveling, this missile reaches speed at 15,000 miles per hour. The MX was developed to improve survivability, range, accuracy, payload, and target flexibility. This weapon was supposed to be retired in 2004 but ultimately the Peacekeeper retirement still has not yet been assured. In this tutorial you will learn how to draw an MX Missile step by step. The instructions will show you how easy it is to hand sketch one of these missiles of US history. Grab a history book, and your art supplies and get ready to launch a sketch that will last a very long time. (if taken care of).

STEP 1.
In this first step you are simply going to draw out two sides of the MX Missile. Start at the top and make your first line on a tilted slant and then square off and than go straight down. At the end of the line slant outward. Repeat the same thing on the right hand side until you get an image like the one above.-step-2.jpg "how to draw a mx missle (peacekeeper) step 2")
STEP 2.
Now here in this step what you will be doing is drawing a coned tip at the top and then draw a circle around the tip and another just below the first strip. Move down a little ways and draw a band to separate the head from the base. Below the band continue to draw a total of five more strips. Below the last strip draw a perfect circle. STEP 3.
Here all you will be doing is drawing a star in the middle of the MX missile. after that you are basically done. How easy was that? Real easy I'd say. Move down to the next step.-step-4.jpg "how to draw a mx missle (peacekeeper) step 4")
STEP 4.
