1

Draw a circle, and then add the beginning lines for the petals.

2

You will now use the lines you just drew in step one to draw out the three petals that are in the form of a Triquetra. When this is done, you can move to step three.

3

Next, draw the other three petals which are slightly bent or curled over. You will then add some detailing lines at the ends of the petals.

4

For your last drawing step, all you have to do is draw in the inner tepals which are the stems and tips that actually help give this flower a distinct look. Add more lining detail to the petals, and then erase the lines and shapes you drew in step on

5

Now that you are done, you can see that your lily came out looking beautiful. I hope you liked this tutorial on one of the prettiest flowers in the world.

Description: When was the last time that I submitted a tutorial on a familiar flower? A long time that's when. Today, I will upload a lesson that will teach you "how to draw a lily", step by step. The lily, is different from a water lily, and this is plain to see if you put the two flowers side by side together. I did do a tutorial on lilies, which is a combination of two of the same flower. In that tutorial, I talked about the flower's origins, and how they are one of the most beautiful blossoms in existence. Lilies are plants that grow from bulbs, and there is over one hundred different types of species belonging to the lily family. The flower is used for center pieces, extravagant gardens, and they are even grown and harvested for their bulbs which are edible. The color of a lily comes in many shades, with my favorite being the yellowish orange, and the white ones with the purple inner lining details. Did you ever wonder what the inner parts of a lily is called? Well, there is five different parts to the inside of the lily flower, and combined they are referred to as tepals. It starts with the stigma, which is the tip of long stems that raise from the center. The next part is called the style, this is the green stem, next is the stamens, this is the orange colored tube like pieces, there is also the filament, and the tepal. The design make up of the lily flower is beautiful, stunning, and elegant. It's almost hard to pick a lily and just throw it away after you've pulled the petals off. Luckily, when you "draw a lily", you can reserve the beauty within the flower by drawing, sketching, or painting these flowers to your liking. I will be back again, and this time I do mean later. There is only two more tutorials left for me to submit, which means you should really stick around to find out what they are going to be. Peace out to all my favorite people and artists around the world!
