How to Draw a Simple Gun
As you know I am a big fan of guns, which is why I love drawing them. If you look in the firearms section under the "Weapons" category, you will see a bunch of lessons on various guns that I have submitted over time. One of the first ones I ever uploaded was the lesson on the AK-47, and the Glock 9mm. Today, I will be showing you all "how to draw a simple gun" in the form of the Glock. I also did a tutorial on a cartoon gun in the form of a .44 magnum, and that was pretty sweet too. I know a lot of artists, and other individuals like to "draw a gun" when they feel like it. The only problem with that concept is the fact that, drawing a gun is almost always hard to do. Unless of course you're going to draw a complete outline of a gun, the same way you would draw the outline of your hand on a piece of paper. The only thing you will need is a ruler, and a good eraser when you are going to tackle this lesson on "how to draw a simple gun". If you are one of those people that have a hard time with drawing straight lines, you might find that using a ruler will be more helpful then trial and error. Well, I guess that does it for this tutorial. I will be back with a few more so that you can get some fun pumping through those tiny veins in your fingers. STEP 1.
The first thing you need to do is draw the outline of the simple gun line the way you see it here. Grab a ruler, and make the guidelines that way.
STEP 2.
In this step, you will be sketching out the actual shape of the handgun. It may be easier for you to take your time while tackling this step because there are a few lines that are arched and curved like the trigger guard, and the back end of the gun with is where the hammer is.
STEP 3.
Now, begin drawing out the grip that covers the handle like you see here. Next, draw the shape of the safety, and then add some detailing and definition.
STEP 4.
It's now time to draw in the grooves of the barrels design like you see here. When this is done, draw in the vertical lines that are really close together. This is the part of the gun that looks colored in. Next, draw the trigger guard, and the trigger.
STEP 5.
For your last step, all you need to do is draw out the screws and holes you see here. Erase the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one to give your new gun a fantastic cleanliness, and feel.
STEP 6.
This is what your drawing looks like when you are done. Color in the gun, and then you just learned how to draw a simple gun, step by step.Comments: Post Comment
