How to Draw an Easy Skull
Hi guys how are you all doing on this fantastically hot day. I will start with another lesson that is going to be on something easy. To start, let's learn "how to draw a easy skull", step by step. Some of you may have watched me draw this skull live yesterday while the site was on a crashing kick. I do have some good news though, I can almost guarantee that there will be no more crashes, and if there is, you will only be set back for a minute or two. Anyway, I thought it would be super duper cool if I showed some of you novice artists, an easy way to "draw a skull". Skulls have got to be one of the best or popular concepts to sketch, because it is such a universal design. This lesson is going to be pretty darn simple to follow and learn from. I did a sketch of three different types of easy skulls, this way here you can pick and choose the one you want to draw. No matter what your decision might be, learning "how to draw a easy skull is going to be an awesome way to better your skills when it comes to drawing skulls. When you are done with this tutorial, try out one of the other skulls I have for intermediate artists, to test your new skills. STEP 1.
This is a sketch I did to show you three different types of skulls that are easy to draw. The one I will be giving a lesson on, is the larger of the three. If you want to add the fangs, you can go ahead and do so. Let's get started shall we?
STEP 2.
First draw a large circle, or a size shape that you want the skull to be. Once you have done this, just draw in the facial guidelines.
STEP 3.
Now, use the facial guidelines you drew in step one to draw out the eyes. These two shapes look like two tear drops being viewed sideways. Once the eye sockets are drawn, you can begin coloring them in.
STEP 4.
Here is another easy step, draw the shape of the nose which is a soft triangle. Color the nose socket in as well and then move to step five.
STEP 5.
Draw out the shape of the skull, or thicken the circle line that you drew in step one. Once the top half of the head is drawn, you can then draw each the structure of the skulls face shape starting with the temples like you see here.
STEP 6.
Okay, you are almost done with this lesson. All I want you to do now is draw out the shapes of the skull's cheeks, and then draw the shape of the upper jaw. When you sketch out this part of the mouth, be sure to add the grooves for the teeth that you will be drawing in the next step.
STEP 7.
All you have to do here is draw out each individual tooth. Take your time when doing this so that each tooth looks even and consistent. This is also your last drawing step so what you want to do is start erasing the lines and one shape you drew in step one.
STEP 8.
Look how incredibly awesome your new skull came out looking. All you need to do now is color it in. I hope you had fun with this tutorial. Be sure to join me for more drawing fin in the future.Comments: Post Comment
