How to Draw Vilgax
Someone suggested that I submit a villain from the animated cartoon series Ben 10. Of course this never crossed my mind, but now that it has been brought to my attention, I will do just that. This lesson isn't going to be on another heroic Ben 10 alien. Instead I will show you "how to draw Vilgax", step by step. I got the idea from a member named “zakwild” when he suggested that I do a tutorial on Vilgax. I just want to say that I also received a request from “Exotic” to do 'Jocker' or 'Joker' from Ben 10, but the only problem is, I can't find anything on this character whatsoever which is leading me to believe that there is no such alien. If there is, just leave a comment telling me where I can find the 411 on 'Joker'. Now, let's get back to talking about this evil, power hungry villain shall we? First off, I have to say that I am not at all familiar with Vilgax, which is why I had to do some reading research. From what I've read so far, he seems like one bad ass antagonist. His name comes from the mythical monster Chimera. He is a Chimera Sui Generis from a planet named Vilgaxia. His appearance looks a lot like the character Davy Jones from “Pirates of the Caribbean” with the green face and tentacles as a beard. Anyway, Vilgax is what you call in intergalactic terrorist. Because of this he is known as being the most dangerous being in the galaxy. He has been the most common recurring villain that Ben Tennyson is always trying to ward off. Vilgax's whole goal is to obtain the Omnitrix so he can conquer every planet by building an army of other ruthless villains. Anyway, I like the way that is character came out looking even though I had no idea who he was before this sketch. I like how he looks extremely mean, cruel, and totally insane. He has ten worlds that he already conquered under his belt, and there is no stopping him on his destructive path. Have fun learning how to draw Vilgax, step by step. I'm sure all you Ben 10 fanatics will love the lesson to a point of insanity. I'm just kidding, he really is a great character to draw because there is a slight challenge to his design. STEP 1.
Start drawing Vilgax by making the guidelines and shapes or shape for his body design. He has very broad and wide shoulders which means his shoulders and arms will be the more predominate aspect of his design. Draw a small head shape, and then draw the lining for the shoulders, arms, torso, hips, and legs.
STEP 2.
You will now start sketching out the shape of his head, and face. As you can see from this step, he looks more like an organism that has octopus or squid like traits. Just shape out the head, and draw some tentacles.
STEP 3.
You are now ready to start sketching out his massive shoulders, and torso which seem to be covered in thick, indestructible armor. Add the marking lines on his body to add the detailing and definition. The left arm looks like intertwined tentacles that are fussed to make up his which you will see in step four.
STEP 4.
You can see what I was talking about with the left arm. See how it looks braided? Continue to sketch out the arms, and massive hands or claws like you see here. The right hand is covered with an armored glove. Add the spikes, and bands, and then draw out his mechanical looking belt.
STEP 5.
Start drawing the hips and thighs like you see here, and then draw what looks like a holster on his left hip. Add the detailing lines for the plating on his thighs like you see here, and then move to the next step.
STEP 6.
You are ready to finish off this insane character from Ben 10. All you have to do is finish drawing out his legs, and then draw the feet or boots. Color in the bottom of the feet to make a sole, and then draw the plate lines on his shins. Erase the lines and shapes you drew in step one, and that's it.
STEP 7.
When you're finished the drawing should look like the one you see here. Color him in using the unique color pallet that makes up Vilgax. I hope you had fun!Comments: Post Comment
