How to Draw a Fairy Tiger
Today at DragoArt.Com we will learn on how to draw the beautiful and exquisite fairy tiger. What is a fairy tiger, why does it have feathered wings instead of fairy wings? To answer your question, a fairy tiger is a beautiful creature that lives amongst the jungle’s waterfalls. They can be seen during the full moon at the waterfalls to drink and bathe. Are there any other places that are known where the fairy tiger can be spotted? To answer that question, is no, there are no known places towards where the fairy tiger can be spotted. The only known place is the jungle’s waterfalls. Some tribe members that live in the jungle have captured some of the tigers. They use them for transportation around their area. They also breed them with other big cat species. For instance, white tigers, jaguars, cougars, lions, and others. What do fairy tigers eat? Fairy tigers feast upon fruits and mammals. They do not eat humans for it is against their nature. What alliance is the fairy tiger? When it comes to the fairy group there are two alliances. There are the unseelie fairies and the seelie fairies. Fairy tigers come in both alliances. What’s the difference between an unseelie and a seelie? This is pretty simple, a seelie is a good light fairy and an unseelie is a dark bad fairy. A seelie fairy tiger is usually colored in bright colors like the one we are drawing today. They also venture around seas, tropical islands, and most of all jungles. An unseelie fairy tiger is colored in dark colors and are totally opposite to the seelie tigers. They are usually spotted roaming around marshes, swamps, deserts, lakes, and of course the dark side of the jungles. How can an unseelie fairy tiger be changed into a seelie? Well if you actually caught an unseelie tiger then you would have to tame it to do good deeds. And if you had a seelie tiger you would have to tame it evil deeds. It’s pretty basic. It’s like taming a dog or cat. But not all creatures can be tamed since everything they do is in their nature. So I hope this tutorial will help you into drawing a better fairy tiger. I first drew it out freehandedly on my Wacom intuos3 tablet then I colored it in Photoshop CS. It took me a total of four hours to draw and color this beautiful mystical creature. So enjoy!

STEP 1.
This first step will require you to draw out the guidelines and shapes for the fairy tiger. Start by drawing out the shape of the head which is a circle, also draw in th e facial guidelines. Now draw out the shape or outline of the wings as shown. After that draw out a partial shape for the torso. Now that all the shapes are drawn out you can finish this step by drawing out all the guidelines.
STEP 2.
In this next step you will be drawing out the face and start sketching in the detailing to the wings. First draw out the shape of the eyes and detail his ear. Now detail and shape his face as shown to you in this step. Now draw out the shape of the front legs and the front paws. After that is done draw the lower part of the tail.
STEP 3.
In this step you will be focusing on detailing and sketch in in more feather lines to his wings. After that you can sketch in more of the fairy tiger's facial features like drawing in some eye balls and pupils. Next detail his nose and add some holes for the whiskers. Now draw some earings and start drawing out the smile that is on this pups face. Detail the body more and the tail.
STEP 4.
In this step detail and define the left side which is the mane of the fairy tiger a lot more as it is shown to you here. Now you will need to sketch in his whiskers and shade in the pupils. ON the toes, sketch in the claws or nails and detail and sketch in the hair on the end of his tail. Detail the right wing a bit more by sketching in more definition so it looks like a feathered wing.
STEP 5.
Before moving on to the left side of the profile which would be detailing the fairy tigers mane, you should erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew earlier. Now sketch in the detailing to the left side of the mane until your sketch looks similar to the one above.
STEP 6.
This is what your sketch should look like when you are totally done. The only thing you have to do now is color him/her in the way you would like to see him. Color your sketch using your favorite color scheme. That will do it for this tutorial on how to draw a tiger fairy.Comments: Post Comment
