How to Draw a Realistic Butterfly, Draw Real Butterfly

Hi everyone, how is everyone doing on this fine day? I'm here today with a butt load of awesome tutorials for you all to learn from. I will start by uploading a lesson that will teach all you insect lovers, "how to draw a realistic butterfly", step by step. Before I started this drawing, I had to think long and hard of what type of beautiful animal, or insect that would make an amazing realistic tutorial. After some careful thought, I decided that a realistic butterfly would be the right thing to get done. One of the prettiest butterflies is the monarch. This is because of all the glorious patterns and designs that the wings of a monarch has. With a combination of blacks, whites, oranges, and yellows, makes for a delightful sketch when it comes to drawing realistic. Some of you may think that drawing a lifelike butterfly may be a bit difficult to draw. Because of this I tried to make sure that the lesson would not only be realistic, but easy as well. A few of the more popular things to draw is roses, butterflies, dragonflies, flowers, skulls, and dragons. Of course there is more subjects that one can draw, I just named a few that make awesome lessons to draw realistically. I think you will find that when it comes to sketching out a beautiful creature, one of the best ones to learn, is "how to draw a realistic butterfly". You can actually color in your finished drawing to be as colorful as you like. Remember, one of the reasons why these insects are so popular, is because of their unique beauty. I had so much fun when I sketched out this bug, and because of that I think you will too. When you're done, make sure to let me know how your realistic bug comes out. Peace people, and have a happy drawing day.

STEP 1.

Like I said in the tutorial description. This butterfly will be rather easy to draw. Start with an oval shape for the top part of the bugs head. Next draw a stick like line from that very shape for the body, and then draw the top, slightly curved wings.

STEP 2.

Next, draw the rest of the outlined wing shape like you see here, and then draw the shape or outline of the butterfly's head like so.

STEP 3.

Now, let's start drawing the odd shaped circle patterns on each wing. These shapes don't have to be perfectly drawn because the markings on butterfly wings are usually misshapen and odd looking. Once the markings are drawn, you can then sketch out the shape of the body.

STEP 4.

Starting from each inner end tip of the upper wings, begin the outlined shape of the lower half of the wings like you see here. When the entire outline of the butterfly wings are drawn, they should look closed on each other without gaps. Next, draw the patterned markings on the lower wings, the same way you did on the upper wings.

STEP 5.

Okay, as you can see you are basically done drawing out your realistic butterfly. Before you add the various spots that are strategically placed on the edging of the wings, you have to erase the lines and shape you drew in step one that you no longer need. Once that is done, you can begin drawing each dot, or spot until you gave a realistic looking monarch butterfly.

STEP 6.

Now all you have to do is color in all the black areas of the butterfly's markings, and when you do this, make sure the shading is done on a horizontal pattern when it comes time to shade in the body. All the white areas are the white marking shapes, and spots.

STEP 7.

When you are done, your realistic butterfly should look like the one you see here. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, but most importantly, I hope you learned something new today.
