You know what's great about summer time? The pow wows that will be going on almost everywhere. I love Native American culture, and I also enjoy reading about their beliefs and how they believe in spirits and giving back to mother earth. This linked lesson will show you how to draw an Indian, step by step. I like the way this cute drawing of an Indian came out, and I also love how simple this tutorial was to follow. STEP 1.
These are the basic lines and shapes that you will be drawing for your Indian figure. Start with a a circle for the head, and then draw out the two triangular shapes for the chest, and for the pelvic area. You will then add all the connecting lines for the arms, face, and legs.
STEP 2.
Begin sketching out the shape or structure of the Indian's face like you see here. When you are done with that, sketch out the thick or bold eyebrows.
STEP 3.
Now you are ready to sketch out the Indians hairstyle which is pulled back, and long.
STEP 4.
Sketch in the eyes, and then draw in the nose, and mouth like so. This is an easy concept to do.
STEP 5.
Like most Indians, you will draw in a simple headdress that is a headband, and feathers. You can choose to draw any type of headdress you want, I just kept it simple.
STEP 6.
Now it's time to start drawing out the Indians upper body. Start with the shoulders, and then sketch out the arms and torso. His left hand is in a fist because he is holding something in that hand.
STEP 7.
Draw in his fingers, and then sketch out the upper arm band that is wrapped around his arm like so. You can choose to draw in any type of Indian design if you like or you can choose to draw the design you see before you here. When that is done draw the necklaces.
STEP 8.
Okay, now you are going to work on getting the pants of the Indian drawn. This is done by drawing out the hips, and then draw the thick fringe. Next, draw the legs, and move to step nine.
STEP 9.
Okay as you can see your Indian is almost done. Here you will draw out his feet and or shoes.
STEP 10.
Draw the waist band, and then add some crease or pleated lines for definition and detail.
STEP 11.
Finally, draw out the bow that this Indian is hiding. When that is done erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one to clean up your drawing.Post a comment
