There is so many things that I can draw, but I sometimes find myself wanting to complete things I never finish once in a while. About four days ago I drew a Greek Goddess live, and everyone seemed to like the drawing. I didn't submit it yet because I had to tweak it a little bit, and fix some eras that the sketch had. I will now get the drawing uploaded, and this will be the first lesson of the day, “how to draw Aphrodite", step by step. After drawing Zeus, and Poseidon, I couldn't just leave the Greek Mythology category with no tutorial of Aphrodite. She is one of the more popular of all the gods and goddess from myth. Her story is pretty weird though, and when I told my friend Lucy the background to her creation, she was like “what the f@*&”. I told her that this is the myth, no matter how insanely strange it may be. Oh, you want to know what I said? Okay, sure. As some may know Aphrodite is the Greek Goddess of love, beauty, and sexual rapture. This is why she is almost always seem with no clothes on, and being admired by men and women alike as they surround her very presence in Greek art. Now, let's get down to her story. In Greek myth, Aphrodite was born when Uranus has his testicles cut off by his son Cronus. Once he castrated his father, he took them, and threw the genitals in the ocean. Soon after, the cut genitalia began to foam up and churn inside of the water. From the sea foam, which is called “aphros”, Aphrodite. Some believe that she is the daughter of Zeus and Dione. In all I liked the way she came out looking. I tried to draw her in a familiar pose so that the viewers know the female is supposed to be a Greek Goddess. You too can now learn “how to draw Aphrodite”, step by step. The lesson is simple enough, but novice artist may struggle a bit. But if you keep trying, you will sure to accomplish this drawing feat. Have fun guys and remember to have a happy drawing day.
