There is so many things that I can draw, but I sometimes find myself wanting to complete things I never finish once in a while. About four days ago I drew a Greek Goddess live, and everyone seemed to like the drawing. I didn't submit it yet because I had to tweak it a little bit, and fix some eras that the sketch had. I will now get the drawing uploaded, and this will be the first lesson of the day, “how to draw Aphrodite", step by step. After drawing Zeus, and Poseidon, I couldn't just leave the Greek Mythology category with no tutorial of Aphrodite. She is one of the more popular of all the gods and goddess from myth. Her story is pretty weird though, and when I told my friend Lucy the background to her creation, she was like “what the f@*&”. I told her that this is the myth, no matter how insanely strange it may be. Oh, you want to know what I said? Okay, sure. As some may know Aphrodite is the Greek Goddess of love, beauty, and sexual rapture. This is why she is almost always seem with no clothes on, and being admired by men and women alike as they surround her very presence in Greek art. Now, let's get down to her story. In Greek myth, Aphrodite was born when Uranus has his testicles cut off by his son Cronus. Once he castrated his father, he took them, and threw the genitals in the ocean. Soon after, the cut genitalia began to foam up and churn inside of the water. From the sea foam, which is called “aphros”, Aphrodite. Some believe that she is the daughter of Zeus and Dione. In all I liked the way she came out looking. I tried to draw her in a familiar pose so that the viewers know the female is supposed to be a Greek Goddess. You too can now learn “how to draw Aphrodite”, step by step. The lesson is simple enough, but novice artist may struggle a bit. But if you keep trying, you will sure to accomplish this drawing feat. Have fun guys and remember to have a happy drawing day.

How to Draw Aphrodite

how to draw aphrodite step 1

STEP 1.

Draw the frame for Aphrodite's body like you see here which starts off with a circle shape for the head, and then draw a neck line. You will then need to draw the shape of her torso, and from that draw a connecting line to the hips. Add the leg and arm lines and move to the next step.

STEP 2.

Sketch out the shape of her face, and then sketch in the eyes, nose, and mouth. Once that is done you can begin sketching out her hair which covers her forehead, and falls on her shoulder.

STEP 3.

Because Aphrodite is supposed to be beautiful, I wanted her to have a really pretty hair style. Finish drawing her thick long hair, and when you draw it, have it blowing to the left a bit. Add some detailing and definition, and then you can move to step four.

STEP 4.

Draw a flower in her hair, and then add some more detailing to the face and hair. Draw the arms, hand, and breast just like the way you see them drawn for you here.

STEP 5.

Sketch out her hips and waist, and then draw the rest of her arm, and hand. After that you can sketch out the navel hole, and some of the cloth that is wrapped around her hips.

STEP 6.

Sketch out the cloth that covers her area, and then draw out the shape of her toned thighs. After that is done you can add some detailing to the fabric and legs.

STEP 7.

Finish drawing her legs, and then sketch out her feet. Draw one last piece of cloth and then you can start erasing all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.
