Steps: 6Updated: April 6, 2010P.O.V: SideFavourited: 18 timesThis next tutorial is going to be for all you chibi lovers that have been asking me for a lesson that can teach you "how to draw chibi Toothless", step by step. His real name is Night Fury and he's from the popular movie that opened over the weekend called “How to Train Your Dragon”. Night Fury or Toothless is the main dragon character from the flick. Yes I know that the regular version of him is awesome, but seeing how he has become such a popular character, I figured I should go ahead and draw you all a lesson on Night Fury in his chibi form. It doesn't matter how you want to "draw Toothless", because either way he is pretty simple to draw. This version of him is pretty easy, and you will follow and complete the tutorial in six steps, with the sixth step being the finished line art. To be honest with you, Toothless doesn't look that much different from his regular form. STEP 1.
Start by drawing a circle for his head, and then draw a small dash for his neck. You will then draw another shape for the torso part of Toothless's body, and then draw a horn like shape for his tail. Next draw the sharp looking wings, and then move to the next step.
STEP 2.
You will now use the shapes and guidelines you drew in step one to sketch the outline of chibi Toothless's body form. In the process of doing this you will also need to draw his front and back.
STEP 3.
In this step you will draw out the lining for his mouth, and then draw his big eyes, and brow. Next, draw the other two legs, and be sure to sketch out the under belly as you see here.
STEP 4.
Toothless looks like a Pokemon character in this drawn form which is pretty cool. What you are going to do next is draw the shape of his chibi bat looking wings, and be sure to add the detailing to the wings for added texture. Draw the ears. and then you can move to the last drawing step.
STEP 5.
All you need to do here is sketch in a colored pupil, draw two frills from the side of his face, and then draw four small horns or spikes on top of his head. Once that is done you can sketch in the nostril holes, and then draw the nails on each foot along with the few spiked horns on the tail.
STEP 6.
When you are done your drawing of chibi Toothless comes out looking like the one you see here. Color him in, and you are done. I hope you had fun with this lesson, and I will also hope that you will join me once again for more drawing fun.Post a comment
