How to Draw a Trumpet
I hope you are all having fun with the new layout, and all the different things you can do now. It's time that I submit another instrument that is from the brass family, and cousin to the saxophone, and trombone. I will teach you "how to draw a trumpet", step by step. The trumpet is widely recognized and known, and is probably the most popular musical device from the brass family. Trumpets date back to 1500 BCE, which also makes them one of the oldest instruments to date. The device is constructed of brass, which is then bent twice to form the oblong shape that it has. The sound omits by air from the human lung which is blown out of your mouth and travels down the tube and out the horn. Did you know that there are several different types of trumpets? It's true, the most common is the B♭ trumpet, but there is also the F, C, D, E♭, E, G, and A. The smallest version of it's class is the Piccolo which plays in B-flat but also comes with interchangeable leadpipes. I really don't know too much more then that about this instrument. All I can do for you guys now is shut up and let you get to work on teaching yourself "how to draw a trumpet", step by step. I will come back in a little while with one more lesson for you all. STEP 1.
Start by sketching out the shape of the trumpets tubing and then form it into a funnel like shape at the top. When that is done draw the twisted part of the device until it looks like an upside down handle.
STEP 2.
You will now begin sketching out the rim of the horn, and the inside hole as you see here. Thicken the circular lining as well.
STEP 3.
Thicken the lining you drew for the base of the trumpet, and then draw the three keys that you see here. You will also draw the other lining for the tubing that the keys are joined with.
STEP 4.
Finish sketching out the shape of the curled looking tubing, and then draw the stems or base for the keys. Draw more tubing shapes which lay in the background of the main trumpet design as you see here. It's almost like a twisted pretzel.
STEP 5.
For your last drawing step all you have to do is finish sketching out the tube. Once that is done you can begin erasing all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.
STEP 6.
In the end your work should look like the one you see here. This is a very simple sketch, and drawing a trumpet was a breeze.Comments: Post Comment
