Now what you will do here is first start sketching out the teeth that are showing out from his mouth. Also start sketching the definition to the flightless dragons face such as the eyes and eyebrows. After you are done sketching out the face start dr

In this step what you will be doing is defining the jaw and sketching out the curved horns and sketch in some more detailed definition on his face. The best way to see all the lines needed to sketch out is to enlarge the image and work from there. No

Description: Okay who is ready for another dragon on DragoArt? This time you will learn how to draw a Flightless Dragon. What exactly is a flightless dragon? Well to me at least a flightless dragon is a dragon that can not fly due to its humongous size. These particular dragons are very large, broad, and bold. They are so massive that when they are born, they are born from outside the mother’s womb just as you were born from your parent. Flightless dragons are too massive even in infancy to be hatched from an ordinary reptile egg. In fact these dragons are the only ones in existence that develop and grow inside the mother’s uterus. As you know reptiles lay eggs, and dragons along with dinosaurs lay eggs as well because they are all part of the retile family. When a flightless dragon reaches the age of one, they are already the size of a full grown elephant. The sheer size of these beasts prohibits them from traveling a long distance which is why they are seldom seen by humans or other dragons for that matter. Instead of wings they have large bone plates covered with extremely rough skin. Most of these particular breed of dragon develop their own unique markings that distinguish what family and herd they belong to. Like brachiosaurus they travel in large herds, but the one thing they don’t do like the brachiosaurus is travel mingled with other types of dragons. Picture how big this animal must be in order not to be able to mingle with other types of dragons. An interesting thing about flightless dragons is they are extremely playful. They are also very protective of each other as well. When a flight less dragon is at full weight and size they can be as large as 150 feet tall, 50 feet long and can weigh as much as 12 tons. I know what you all must be thinking wow that is amazing, and yes it is. Though they are not appealing by appearance, their kind humble souls make these gentle giants a friend for anyone who dares approach them. In this tutorial you will learn how to draw a flightless dragon step by step. The detailed instructions make it super simple for you to learn how to sketch out, and create your very own humongous creature. Have fun.
