His name is Christopher Brian Bridges, born on September 11, 1977. This hip hop star has been a recognized American rapper since 2000, and has recently started making headlines once again with his very catchy, creative song “How Low”. Now because this song hooks the listener in so quickly, and because my parents are familiar with this artists, I wanted to do a tutorial on another famous face that some or all of you will be familiar with. You will learn "how to draw Ludacris", step by step. He was born in a town called Campaign located in Illinois. From the years 1998 and 1999, he studied music management at GSU. He started out working for Timbaland at a radio station, and then later recorded on Timbaland's album “Life from da Basement” on the song called “Phat Rabbit”. He went under the stage name “Ludacris” and released his first album titled “Back for the First Time”. The song “What's Your Fantasy” featuring Shawnna, made a big impression with hip hop music fans, and soon became a hit at number four on the Billborad charts. It was only a matter of time before Ludacris came into fame and fortune, with his growing popularity. If you look at the years each new album was released, you will see that there was only one to two year intervals. In 2001 Ludacris's second album made headway called “Word of Mouf” with the hit single “Rollout”. 2003 soon rolled around and so did his third album “Chicken-n-Beer” that had the “2 Fast 2 Furious” single “Act a Fool”. At this time his image stayed relativity the same and was known for his stylish cornrows, braids, and afro. Ludacris maintained a clean cut image even though he dressed as a main stream hip hop artists. He was one of the few male artists that had some sense of style when it was time to dress up in a suit and tie for premiers, or Grammys. 2004 brought even more fame and fortune with the release of his fourth album titled “The Red Light District”. The album featured known artists like T.I., Lil Flip, and Bun B. The hit song on that record was “Get Back”, and according to Luda, it was up to him to keep the record label "Def Jam" afloat. Over the next six years he released three more albums; “Release Therapy” in 2006, “Theater of the Mind” in 2008, and the new album that is being played now over the air waves, “Battle of the Sexes”, 2010. I have to say, after listening to a good portion of Ludacris's songs, "How Low" is one of my favorite. He will continue to make music, and be a creative hip hop artists. If your a fan of this music artist, then you will enjoy this tutorial that teaches you “how to draw Ludacris, step by step”. I have some more fun lessons for you all and even some request fulfillments. Have fun guys, and happy drawing!

How to Draw Ludacris

STEP 2.

You will now start sketching out the shape of Ludacris's eyes, and then the bridge of his nose as you see here.

STEP 3.

Look at that, you're already on step three which is bringing you closer to the end of this tutorial. Lightly sketch out the eyebrows which should be semi-thick, but neat looking. Next, since Ludacris is African American and Native American, the shape of his eyes are more Indian then anything else which means he has expressive eyes. Sketch out the lid, and then the eyeballs and pupils. Lightly sketch the left side of his face, and then add the nostril indentations.

STEP 4.

Finish sketching out the shape of his face, and then sketch out the shape of his lips which are very full. Draw in his mustache by lightly sketching out the facial hairs, and then define the shape of the nose's nostrils.

STEP 5.

Now you are really almost done because after this step, you are only one more step away from the end. Here you will begin sketching out the shape of his forehead, and then his hairline. As you can see his sideburns are neatly trimmed and almost look like a tribal pattern. Once his head and hair is sketched out, you can then start sketching in the shading around the eyes to add definition, and then shade in the nostril holes. Define his lips with a little shading, and then sketch in his goatee. Lastly, draw the lining for his shirt, and add some crease and fold lines as well as the seam on the shoulder.

STEP 6.

This is your last drawing step and all you need to do is really finish sketching out shape of his entire head, and then sketch out his ear and big diamond earring. Shade in part of his sideburns, and then add some shading on his neck, and around the left eye. Erase the lines and shapes you drew in step one to clean up your portrait drawing.

STEP 7.

Here is what your finished sketch should come out looking like when you're done. You can choose to color in your portrait, or leave it looking like a sketch. Whatever you choose, it will be great. I hope you liked this tutorial on "How to draw Ludacris, step by step".
