The five lessons that I will be submitting today are all going to be tattoo and tribal related. There is two that are tribal patterns that I drew two days ago, and there are three that I will be placing in the tattoo section under the “Pop Culture” category. Let's start with one of the designs I drew while I was on Livestream which will be on “how to draw an Egyptian tattoo", step by step. Egyptian art is becoming increasingly popular nowadays, and for good reason too. First off the many different types of objects, animals, and humans is what makes ancient Egyptian art somewhat amazing. The way they used birds, jackals, pharaohs, and other animals, almost makes the race seem, ahead of their time during the days they walked the earth. I took a simple concept of a jackal head, and incorporated some ancient Egyptian style. When you draw these types of tattoos you have to remember that each concept that was created back in those days, came from people of royalty, or with money like pharaohs and queens. In all, I think you will have fun with this design. I mean, you don't even have to make it a tattoo if you don't want. Instead use it for a class project when you have to study up on one of the oldest races in the world. I will be back because I still have four more lessons on the way. Peace out people, and happy drawing!

STEP 2.

You can now begin sketching out the actual shape and form of the jackals nose or snout like you see here. Add the lines on the bridge of the nose and then draw a nose tip. The mouth is semi open at the base to show a little teeth.

STEP 3.

All you will need to do here is sketch out the eye which is very much like an Egyptian style form. There is three layers of lining for that bold pop out appearance.

STEP 4.

Now start focusing on the mouth and most importantly the snarling teeth. They should be closed in touching each other, and very sharp. Draw the neck, and then the beginning lines for the large gold necklace. Add the shape of the jaw and draw some definition around the crown of the beasts head.

STEP 5.

Draw some erect pointed ears for this jackal, and then draw the head of a cobra at the tip of the crown. You will detail the ears, and necklace as you see here, and then draw the shape of the headdress that was commonly worn by royalty and statues. Razor up the ends and move to the next step.

For your last drawing step all you have to do id sketch in the lines for the headdress to add texture, and then sketch out a misty looking fog that surrounds the jackal figure. Erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.
