How to Draw Marceline
Another big character that will be taking her place in the upcoming new animated show, Adventure Time with Finn and Jake, is going to be rather easy to learn from and draw. As a matter of fact, almost all the characters from the Cartoon Network series will be easy to draw because they are very simple looking people, animals, and creatures. With this tutorial, I'm going to show you "how to draw Marceline", step by step. As with the other members of the series, there is no information about her as well. All I can tell you is that she is a young Gothic looking Vampire Queen that lives in a dark cave. When her eyes are open from being excited, they are like a turquoise blue, and when they are regular, their the same as the other character eyes, dots. Along with her incredibly long two toned black colored hair, her attire is very simple looking, and for being a queen that is pretty rare. She wears a plain gray colored sleeveless t-shirt, with a pair of blue jeans and red cowboy looking boots. When she is not drinking blood, she loves playing her guitar in her isolated dark cave. All in all you will have fun drawing Marceline, and I can almost bet that she is going to become one of the more popular characters of the series. When there is more information about her as the show progresses, I will update this tutorial, as well as all the others so that you understand their characters a bit more. STEP 1.
This is a very simple lesson to learn from which is why it's in the novice section. Start with an egg shape for her head and then add the facial guidelines. You will then draw a loop that starts at the left side of her head, and then add the stick lines for her legs and one arm.
STEP 2.
She is holding her extremely long hair on her left arm, so you need to draw the shape of her noodle like arm first before sketch out the hair. Once the arm is drawn, you can start at the top of the head and draw the lining that will form a simple hair style.
STEP 3.
Draw the hair that is framing her face, and then using the facial guidelines you will draw her bold looking expressive eyes, and then her small mouth with her small vampire fangs showing. Next draw more of her hair that covers almost all of her body, and then the right arm and hand as you see here.
STEP 4.
All you need to do here is draw out the rest of her long thick hair that is resting on her forearm. I have separated the tips of her hair into three pointed chunks.
STEP 5.
Now you can draw out her small skinny legs, and then draw the rest of her hair. When that is done you're all done. You can begin erasing all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one so that you can prepare your drawing for color.
STEP 6.
