How to Draw Alphonse
Fullmetal Alchemist is an anime series that has been airing for a while now. I have submitted a few tutorials in the past of on some of the characters, but I never drew anymore then I did. While I was surfing the web yesterday looking for new upcoming anime series, I came across a member of the anime that struck me as very interesting. Now before I tell you what you will be drawing, I should lay my cards on the table and let you all know that I no longer follow Fullmetal Alchemist due to the fact that I have been so busy over the past year, it left me with little or no time to watch some of the shows I used to. Having said that, let me share with you who it is you will be receiving a lesson on. I'm gonna teach you "how to draw Alphonse", step by step. Alphonse also fell victim to the failed experiment that left his brother without a right arm, and left leg. Because the Human Transmutation experiment failed him, he is now stuck in a state of a soul alchemically attached to an armored suit of steel. Alphonse used to look like a regular blond headed boy, now he looks like a metal mechanical robot. The only way to get his normal body back is to find the legendary Philosopher's Stone. Together with is brother Edward Elric, they will search for the stone until they are turned back to normal by having their bodies restored to their previous form. Even though Alphonse is stuck as a steel man, he looks incredibly cool like this. The tutorial that you will learn from teaches you how to draw Alphonse in his robot form with easy instructions, and simple to follow steps. STEP 1.
You will be drawing Alphonse Elric in his steel armoured form. Start with a small circle fro the head and then add the larger circle shape for his mid section or torso. Next draw the flap that hangs in front of him to cover his junk, and then add the shoulder pads, bicep shapes, and then add the limb lines as you see here.
STEP 2.
You will now start sketching out his mechanical looking shape in more detail as you see here and then draw the neck, and collar spikes. Move to the next step.
STEP 3.
Continue to draw the shoulders and then add the spiked shapes that flow in a circular motion around the shoulder and under the armpit. Once that is done add some detailing lines that separates the parts of his steel arms. Add detailing to his chest too.
STEP 4.
Add the eyes and detailing, and then finish drawing the shapes of his forearms as you see them here. You might want to take your time when drawing the forearms because they need to stay detailed. Add the two spikes on each arm, and then draw the sash cloth in front of his groin.
STEP 5.
Add more detailing and definition to the waist and belly and then move onto sketching out the loose look to the apron. Next draw the strong looking thighs, and then the mechanical knees.
STEP 6.
For your last drawing step all you need to do is draw in the rest of Alphonse's legs, and then his feet that resemble a knight in armour. Erase the shapes and guidelines that you drew in step one.
STEP 7.
Now that your done, Alphonse should come out looking like his new robotic self. Color him in and place the finished picture next to Elric. I had a butt load of fun with you all today, and hopefully you did to and will on me again. Peace out!Post a comment
