All you have to do first is draw an outlined shape of the treasure chest that you will be drawing. Since the box is a rectangular shape, the framing of the chest has to be drawn to look like a rectangle.

2

You will now start sketching out the separate wood pieces that make up the design of the chest. The brass corner pieces are used to fuse the front, sides, and back of the chest together along with nails. Once that is done you will need to draw a lock

3

Next draw the inside of the chest's lid. To do this you will need to draw three wooden pieces, and then the arched side pieces of wood. Draw the hinge in the right corner as you see here.

4

Start sketching out the top of the chest which is also arched. The top of a typical treasure chest has a lid that is erect. Draw the outline of the brass trim and more corner brackets as you see here.

Well folks this is your last drawing step. Here is where you will have some good fun. First things first though. Draw the little circle shapes for each nail that holds the corner pieces in and then draw the shape of the key hole. Some chests have a l

Here is what your drawing looks like when you're done. Color it in and you have yourself a real treasure chest that is filled with a bunch of royalties that could make anyone rich.

Description: Now that there is tutorials on a pirate and a pirate ship, I think it's time that I submit another lesson that is related to the dreaded water terrorists. It has to be one of the funnest things to draw because it can be sketched to look like whatever you want. Here you will learn "how to draw a chest, step by step". Typically when you think of a chest, you visualize a square wooden rectangular box that is filled with gold, gems, swords, maps, and even crowns and rings. It is believed that pirates used to bury their treasures that they stole off other ships that sailed the seas. This is why they were called “ocean pirates”. Pirates not only lived on their ships, they also sailed the sea. When a passing ship would be in the area they would invade the vessel and kill, steal, and take what ever they wanted just because they could. It is also said that there are thousands of small islands that have treasures buried under the sand holding so much royalties, that one could become rich if a chest was ever found. I wanted to draw one that was filled to the rim with gold in the form of coins, and red rubies, and other gems stuffed within the gold. You can have so much fun with this tutorial because you can fill your box with anything you want. I have to go because there is so many drawing that still need to be uploaded. Have fun with drawing your treasure chest, and try and stay tuned in to see what I upload next. Peace peeps, and happy drawing!
