How to Draw a Hamburger

“Yum, yum, gimme some”. Drawing food is a great way to utilize your time when your in study hall, or just bumming around the house with nothing to do. If your an artist then you know exactly what I'm talking about. Whenever I'm not in the mood to draw serious sketches, I will start drawing random stuff until something inspires me to do otherwise. One of the more exciting things to draw to get the juices flowing, is drawing different types of food. Today I will be submitting two different lessons pertaining to edible goodness. The first of the two will show you “how to draw a hamburger, step by step”. One of the great things about drawing hamburgers is that you can make your meat anything you want. If you love your beef, you can draw the typical colored meat burger. For those of you that don't eat red meat, color in your patty a lighter shade to convey that it is either turkey, chicken, or pork. For all you vegetarians out there, add a hint of green to show that you stick to veggie burgers or tofu patties. Everything else is great because you can top your sandwich with the typical lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, mustard mayo, ketchup, and of course cheese. Or you can have all your condiments on the side, and leave out the rest. Whatever you want to draw you go ahead and do it. The fun is in the creativity aspect of the sketch, and making your hamburger look good enough to eat. I had fun with this lesson, (as you can tell), and for all of you that are wondering, my meat of choice is turkey. Have a great time learning “how to draw a hamburger, step by step”. I will be back in a bit with something sweet to help wash down this high carb meal. Peace people!

STEP 1.

Another very easy tutorial for you all to learn from. Start with an oval shape for the two buns, and then add the thick lining shape of the burger.

STEP 2.

What you want to do here is, draw the shapes of the hamburger bun that is separated in two pieces. The top piece of bread should look like an upside down bowl, and the bottom piece should look like a thick pie plate. The lining for the patty should also be started in this step as well.

STEP 3.

Here you will add your veggies and condiments like the lettuce, onion, pickles, tomato, mustard and ketchup. Leave out what you don't like, and include something extra that I didn't draw in.

STEP 4.

For your last step draw in the sesame seeds for the bun, and then draw a nice big piece of cheese if that is what you like. If not, just draw the top part of the patty instead. Erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one so that coloring in your hamburger can be done with ease.

it a really nice picture. I'll give you some constructive criticism, though. The face is a little too sharp. what I mean by that is it has a sort of triangular look to it. anime shouldn't have a pointy face/chin. Also, the hair looks a little too stiff and not flowy enough. Bottom line, try not to do so many points, make your lines smoother. Other than that, It is a very wonderful drawing. Keep it up! hai
