How To Draw The Great Wall Of China
Hello my friends from Dragoart.com. We’ve got some requests on how to draw famous places around the world. So today I am going to show you an easy way to draw The Great Wall of China. Now I said “easy” but I think this might be one of the hardest tutorials I’ve done so far. So I’ll try to make it as simple as possible so you all could follow me easily. The Great Wall of China was built starting from the Qin dynasty in China (220B.c to 204B.c.). It was built to defense against invasions from the north as known as later became the Mongolians. The building carried on to the Ming Dynast (1368 to 1644) and became one of the largest military structure. The 2000 year old wall now has become one of the greatest structure of all time. The other fascinating thing about is it that you could actually see it from out of space. The Great Wall is now a great symbol of China. The exciting history of China keeps on going till today. I hope you all be really patient on doing the drawing, It may see a little bit complicated, but I’m sure you will do a great job! I will see you all again in my next tutorial.

STEP 1.
First draw two three dimensional squares for the gates. You will draw one big one in the front, and one small one in the back to make it look like there are distant in between. Then draw guidelines for the wall.
STEP 2.
Then draw the first gate and the wall that is attached in front of it. Make sure you draw the roof of the gate and the right side of the wall like how you would normally draw a castle’s.
STEP 3.
Now draw the far-away gate and the walls attached to it. You will do the same as you’ve done in step 2, but don't’ need to get too detailed on the ones that are far away.
STEP 4.
Add on the bricks on the walls and the floor. You don’t need to draw every single bricks here, we don’t want to make it too complicated. Just draw a few squares and you will give it a brick wall feel to it.
STEP 5.
Now just simply do the same on the gate and walls in the back, because it is so far away, you can draw even less details on them. Last you will add the rocks and mountains surround it, and draw a few bonsai trees, you could even draw some clouds if you like.
STEP 6.
And we did it again! Doesn’t that look breath taking? Now just add the colors and you have a neat drawing of The Great Wall of China.Post a comment
