AS you can imagine drawing a snake is sometimes easy but since the black mamba is awesome, this lesson may be a bit harder than other snake tutorials. Start with a circle for the head and then add the facial guidelines. You will then draw the long bo

Now you will start lightly sketch out the shape of the snakes head, and neck. Once that is done add the eye, draw out the mouth, and then sketch in the scaly detailing that these simple looking snakes have. Don't forget to draw the snake tongue too.

Continue to sketch out the shape and thickness of the black mamba's body as you see here. As you know the belly of a snake consists of wide "V" like lines. Once you have drawn out a good deal of the the body, add in the detailing and definition as yo

Again, continue to sketch out the snakes body and then add more definition to the back of the snake. This can be done by drawing scattered looking half circle for scale shapes. Draw the tip of the tail and then proceed onto the next step.

This is your last drawing step. Finish sketching out the black mamba's body, and then add detail, definition, and sketch in the texture for the snake. But before you do this, you should first start erasing all the guidelines and shapes that you drew

Your black mamba should come out looking like the one you see here. Once you done, you can color in the body, and then color in the black shaded mouth. To emphasis the name of this snake, I colored the body in a shade of black instead of brown. Hope

Description: When you think of snakes, a chilling feeling flows beneath your skin, and your arm hairs begin to stand. I'm not talking about domesticated snakes like a grass snake, boa, or Burmese python. I'm talking about the reptiles that are considered the most deadliest of all, like rattle snakes, cobras, and vipers. But there is one snake that tops the venomous cake, and that is the snake you will be getting a lesson on. You will learn “how to draw a black mamba, step by step”. The black mamba is one of the worlds fastest, venomous, and lethal snakes in existence. Despite their name, these reptiles are actually brown in color. They get the name “black mamba”, because of the bluish black color inside of their mouths which can be seen when they open up and say “ahhh”. These highly aggressive snakes can be found in Africa, and are linked to many, many human deaths from their deadly bites. As you know, there is a lot of superstition and myths that come out of Africa, and the black mamba is talked about in many stories and tales. In their native country, they are considered the longest snake that takes refuge in the rocky hills of eastern parts of Africa. Reaches sizes of up to fourteen feet, black mambas are THE fastest snakes in the world. Did you know that they can slither and slide up to almost thirteen miles per hour? It's true, for an animal that has no legs, or feet, these snakes can outrun a turtle. Everything I have said so far makes this snake seem pretty fearless huh? Well, the truth is, the black mamba is actually a very shy snake unless cornered into a sticky situation. Once that happens, the shy olive colored snake goes away, and the ferocious, killer is released. Before, just one bite from a black mamba would kill someone in twenty minutes flat. Nowadays, there is an antivenin that can potentially save someones life if that person is in the right place at the right time. Truly, these snakes should not be reckoned with, or approached unless you have a death wish. Learning "how to draw a black mamba, step by step", will take you on a slithering journey you have never been on before. Enjoy this tutorial, and be sure to come back real soon. Peace out folks, and happy drawing!
