How to Draw Sailor Mercury
Hello folks! Good to see you guys again. Last week after the tutorial I did on Sailor Mars, I’ve got request on doing more Sailor Moon character tutorials. And that is why today I have decided to start with the probably most popular character in Sailor Moon in Asia – Sailor Mercury. I don’t know about now, but when I was growing up, she was definitely all the little girl’s favorite character, because she is the smartest most sensitive of them all. Growing up watching western teen movies, I’ve always find it interesting how the most popular people in school are always the hot naughty characters. Which is totally different in Asia, because the most popular kids in school are always the smartest and nicest people, which explains why Sailor Mercury was the most popular character in Sailor Moon. It might have changed a little bit now that all the kids around the world watches the same shows, movies and even read the same books. But I guess every girl has their own idol growing up, no matter if it's the hot girl or smart girl or even the freaky girl, or all of them. I hope you all enjoyed drawing Sailor Mercury with me! STEP 1.
First draw a circle for her head, then draw the guidelines for her body. You will also draw the shape of her skirt, hands and feet.
STEP 2.
Draw short guidelines to mark her face and outfit, so you will have better idea later when you get into the details.
STEP 3.
Now draw a rough outline for her entire body, this will include her outfit as well.
STEP 4.
Clean up the outlines you’ve just drawn in step three. Also add on details in her outfit, such as her bow tie.
STEP 5.
Now you will draw her face. Give her a big set of pretty eyes. Then you can start adding on the patterns and fold lines on in her outfit.
STEP 6.
Add on her accessories such as head band, earring, and necklace. Then you can draw the hear lines, shadings and a few muscle lines. Don’t forget to give a nice big bow in the back of her skirt the end!
STEP 7.
