First draw a circle for your lily pad and then add the slanted vertical guideline.

Start sketching out the shape and design of leafy pad and then, and then add some definition to the edges of the lily pad as you see here.

This is your last drawing step and all you have to do now is start sketching out the rest of the lily pad shape. When you are done the pad will end up looking like a cut pie, or even a piece of pita bread. Erase all the guidelines that you drew in st

Description: This lesson is nothing really special, it's just a simple tutorial on “how to draw a lily pad, step by step”. Lily pads are often seen in swamps, marshes, and other terrains that consists of a dense muddy surfaces. These green leaves are often associated with water lilies, and grown from the ground up. They are actually the leaves that form off the root of a water lily. Lily roots are embedded deep in the mud, and then from the stem forms a disc shaped green leaf called a lily pad. This is going to be a very easy lesson to learn from because it's basically a round shape, defined with some ruffled lining to add detailing to the leafy pad. When your done with your drawing, you can use your imagination and draw a cute frog or toad sitting on the lily pad if you like. After all, isn't that how we envision frogs anyway? I know when I was growing up, I used to browse through my coloring book pages finding all sorts of pictures of frogs on lilies for me to have fun with. Hopefully, all you inspiring artists out there will have fun using this tutorial for future reference. I have to go right now because I have some other lessons to upload. I promise they will be more exciting than learning "how to draw a lily pad". Peace out peeps, and happy drawing!
