In this tutorial you will learn "how to draw the evil Witch King from Lord of the Rings, step by step". The recent blockbuster movie trilogy by Peter Jackson was phenomenal not only for it's effects but it's fantastic realizations of J.R.R. Tolkien's characters- including the evil Witch King. When I was a kid, I remember drawing many pictures from The Hobbit- and Frodo adorned many book covers of mine (we used to wrap our books in brown paper from the grocery store). My influence at that time was the animated movie by Ralph Bashkie- which I highly recommend to any LOTR fans out there. A lot of his frames were hand painted over the original film- giving it a really eerie feel- check it out! This drawing may seem complicated at first glance, but don't let that scare you off- really all drawings are just a collection of shapes built upon other shapes- just try to keep that in mind and don't get too uptight- draw from your shoulder, not your wrist! Stay loose and pretty soon you'll have a drawing of evil incarnate. Paint it in any way you wish- I did mine with Photoshop, but I use techniques I learned by doing things the old fashioned way- with paint. If you learn this way, you can do almost any thing- it's just a new tool. Enjoy this tutorial on "how to draw Witch King, step by step".
