Drawing tulips is going to be so fun. Start by drawing two egg shapes for the base shape of the flower. You will then draw the guidelines for the tulip stems, and the leaves.

2

You will now start sketching out the actual shape of the tulip flower. There is a total of six pedals on these blooms, and when they are grown right, you will only see the cupped display of the tulip.

3

You can now start sketching out the shape of the tulips stem, and the long leafy leaves to the flower. Once this is done you can move to the next step.

4

For your last drawing step, all you have to do is draw out the other stem, and then the leaves. Erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one to clean up your nice drawing of tulips.

5

Here is what your neatly drawn tulips should look like when you are done. Color them in and you have just learned "how to draw tulips, step by step"

Description: The daffodils was a great concept flower to draw, but I want to turn my attention to another flower that you will receive a lesson on. Right now for my second tutorial, I will show you “how to draw tulips”, step by step. Tulips has got to be one of the most popular spring flowers in existence, and that's a fact. My grandfather absolutely loved growing tulips because they were his favorite plant. As you guys know, roses are THE number one flower in the world, and guess what? Tulips trail right behind them at the number three spot. Amazingly the Chrysanthemum, falls in at number two. Why do you think that the tulip flower symbolizes that spring is here? Maybe it's because they come in all sorts of colors, sizes, shapes, and even smells. The prettiest color is a purple tulip, and then comes the yellow, pink, and red. These fantastic plants came to be recognized when an Austrian biologist named “Carolus Clusius” introduced the flower. Tulips are also cousins to the lily family, liliaceae. In total, there is about one hundred species of tulip, and if you where to go to some spots of Asia, you will see tulips growing like wildfire. History shows that at one point, Europe labeled the tulip to symbolize the Ottoman Empire. Pretty interesting huh? What does this flower mean anyway if you give it to someone? Well, giving a bouquet of tulips will symbolize that you love someone, or that you are declaring your love to someone. All in all I can see why these pretty spring flowers are so darn popular. I think you guys will find this lesson on “how to draw tulips, step by step”, an easy way to teach yourself the basics of drawing flowers. Peace out peeps, and happy drawing!
