How To Draw Carlisle Cullen
Doctor Carlisle Cullen from Twilight is the father figure and patriarch of the Olympic Coven, aka, the Cullen family. He was changed in London in the 1600s as he was hunting vampires as per the will of his father, a pastor. After being bitten, he survived silently and out of sight on the blood of only animals. He eventually studied medicine and the arts in France and London, but later moved to Chicago where he would meet Edward Anthony Masen and his mother. Edward was the first to be changed by Carlisle, and took up the name 'Cullen', the original surname of Carlisle himself, and Edward became his son. Soon after, Carlisle would change Esme and marry her and move off to many other places with his new immortal family. After rescuing many others that are additions to his family, he eventually settled down in Forks, Washington, where Bella Swan meets Edward, and would take up a position as a physician at Forks Hospital. If you really think about all of this, without Carlisle, there would be no Edward. And without Edward, there would be no Twilight. So, on that note, Dr. Cullen should get the recognition he rightfully deserves. Dr. Carlisle Cullen is my favorite character from the Twilight Saga and that is why I made this tutorial for you all to enjoy! :)

STEP 1.
Start with a circle for the head and the basic guidelines for the eyes and the center line.
STEP 2.
Using the middle line as a guide, draw in the chin and the neck. Then, where the jaw meets the circle in the middle, draw in the ears. The nose then goes underneath the eye guidelines in the center of the face.
STEP 3.
Draw in the eye sockets between the guidelines as shown. Then draw in the eyebrows right above the eyes you just drew. To finish off this step, draw in the hairline around the head. Remember that Carlisle's hair is not straight- it is slightly wavy and slicked back.
STEP 4.
The details of the inside ear need to be drawn in, as well as Carlisle's lips. They also must be centered with the middle guideline. Once you have done that, draw in the actual eye inside of the socket you drew in the last step. The eye is very simple, a circle with a smaller one inside of it. (You might have to zoom in to see the detail close up.)
STEP 5.
Erase all the blue guidelines from earlier and it's detail time! To make the hair look realistic, draw in a series of random lines inside of the hairlines. NOTE: The lines you draw in this step should NOT be straight! Carlisle has slightly wavy hair and the lines should always be curved in the direction the hair is flowing. In the center of the hair, it should be flowing in a slight curl to delineate that his hair is being slicked back neatly. Once you think it looks pretty good, add in the other detail lines as shown. These lines are minor and are optional, but adding them in makes your drawing look ten times more realistic than it normally would.
STEP 6.
