This is the basic stick figure that serves as the base for this anime character. Don't fret over getting it just perfect yet because these are only the basic guidelines that we'll fix up later. (These guidelines will be in blue the entire time so they are easier to see and locate!)

STEP 2.

Here we begin to sketch the body in around the guidelines. Flesh out all the tines. Remember that the legs and arms are not straight- they always have some curve to them. And the same for the torso and stomach area: females have a curvier figure and wider hips than males do. Keep that in mind while drawing out this step.

STEP 3.

Here's a bit of a difficult step: drawing in the hands and feet. The body parts that people have the most problem drawing are the hands. A bit of advice: use your own hands as a reference! It's simple and it will help you improve drawing them a lot. The feet are simple curves. Remember that the feet are not straight either- they have an arch and the rounded heel. For the last part of this step, just sketch in the top of the eyes, the nose and the mouth.

STEP 4.

Now that you're done with the body, try drawing in the rest of the face and the hair! use any hairstyle that you like and experiment with different versions of anime eyes to make your character unique. ^__^

STEP 5.

Now that you're done with the body, you can erase all the guidelines. Flesh out the body more with bolder lines. We're almost done!

STEP 6.

Add in the bikini top and a few more lines for details all over the body. Remember the creases on the hands, legs, arms and the sternum bone up on the chest. These little details make your drawing look complete!

STEP 7.

And here is your final picture! This is what your anime girl should look similar to! Don't forget to experiment and try different hair and eyes to make different characters. And thank you for trying my tutorial! Leave a comment and rating to tell me how I did. :)
