How to Draw Alvin and The Chipmunks

This is going to be a real fun tutorial because it is about some real fun characters. This tutorial is going to show you how to draw Alvin, Simon, and Theodore from the hit animated series Alvin and the Chipmunks. These three cartoon characters where really something back in the day, they even pulled in five Grammy Awards for being the best animated music group. Alvin and the chipmunks was created in 1958 by a fella named Ross Bagdassarian, and first hit the screen as the Alvin Show which didn’t last long at all, only one season was aired. Then came the famous song loved by children and adults alike the Christmas Chipmunk song. Alvin and his brothers returned to television in 1983 with their hit show Alvin and the Chipmunks which lasted a whopping 8 years with a total of 8 seasons. They lived with and were brought up by their human father David Seville. He tried to teach his chipmunk children good morals and tried to show them what was right and what was wrong. He truly tried to lead them down the right path through their life including manage their singing career. They were very successful humanoid animals that lived a very regular life. The group consisted of the leader of the pack Alvin, who is a mischievous, outgoing, motivated individual that wants the world in his hands. Then you have Simon the brain, this four eyed book worm always tries to keep things in perspective and really doesn’t like to do any wrong at all. Lastly there is Theodore; this pudgy sweet loving little guy loves two things, food, and being loved. Together they are the awesome threesome. Over time they met three other female chipmunks who they would later date. They also had their own band called The Chipettes and they are identical to Alvin and his gang. The leader of the Chipettes was Brittany, then Simon’s twin Jeanette, and lastly came the chubby Eleanor who was in love with Theodore. Over a few more years full length animated movies where released, Alvin and the Chipmunks meet Frankenstein, and Alvin and The Chipmunks meet the Wolfman. In 2007 another feature length movie was released but the chipmunks were not in their cartoon form, their father was played by Jason Lee, personally I don’t even know. It was a cute movie that children will laugh at. I still haven’t seen it and honestly I have no urge to, only because I prefer the cartoon over a motion picture. This tutorial will show you how to draw Alvin, Simon, and Theodore as Alvin and the Chipmunks.
