This Tutorial is going to be on how to draw Chris Griffin from The Family Guy. This overweight animated character is a fun addition to the series, although you really don’t hear from Chris to much in the episodes that he is on. You often see him on the couch watching T.V. with his dad Peter, or running through the house making crude remarks to his sister Meg. Like his father, Chris has a low I.Q and at times no common sense what so ever. I think the only thing Chris really knows anything about is movies and the names and bios of actors. He does however possess artistic abilities and he does work as a paperboy, so that is kind of like a plus for the blonde headed bomb shell. Although Chris has a low I.Q., occasionally he makes very insightful comments from out of no where about certain things. Personally I think Chris’s age is some where between 14 or 15 years old, I’m not sure though. There are episodes where Chris often gets tormented by an evil monkey who lives in his closet, which is hilarious. Even though this character is low key he still makes me laugh. I like when he asks questions like “dad what’s a blow hole?” and Peter would give him some off the wall explanation on the meaning of his question because Peter is also an idiot as well. You know when you watch The Family Guy and at the end credits it list the names of actors that are used as the voice talents for the animated bunch, well I always see the name Seth Green, and I know who Seth Green is he is the actor who played in various comedies including “Without a Paddle” and “Austin Powers II” as Dr. Evils son Scott. Well I always wondered why his name kept coming up, at first I thought maybe because he helped write the skits or something because no way in a million years would I think he was the voice talent for any of the characters on the series. Boy was I wrong. Come to find out Seth Green is the voice talent for Chris Griffin, which blew my mind because he sounds nothing like that at all. So anyways, Chris is a fun character to watch and listen to. This tutorial will show you how to draw Chris Griffin from The Family Guy step by step. All you have to do is follow the simple to read instructions and you will be on your way to drawing your very own Family Guy character.

STEP 1.

In this first step what you will be doing is drawing out the guidelines and shapes to form a basic frame for Chris Griffin. Start by drawing out a big round blob shape for his head and sketch in the facial guidelines. Next draw out the top of his body which is the torso, it looks like a big oversized wooden barrel, from that shape draw out his arms and feet and draw out the guidelines for the legs.

STEP 2.

Now here in this step what you wil be doing is drawing out Chris's face and the bottom half of his body. Start by drawing the shape of his face then draw out the hat first, then the hair. Now make two circles that almost look like they attach to the lid of the hat for the eyes. From the middle of the lid on the hat draw the line to start the shape of his nose. Now draw out his mouth and butt chin as shown. On the right side draw out the shape of his stomach and chest combined, and finish off the step by drawing out the shape of his legs or pants.

Here in this last step of drawing what you will be doing is drawing out the lid of his hat a bit more and draw in the pupils of his eyes. Now move down a bit and draw his fingers on his left hand and then the stripes on his ugly looking shoes. Erase all the guidelines and shapes that you draw in step 1 and move down to the final step.
