How to Draw Finn
Well, in the year 2010 there is going to be a new cartoon series coming out on Cartoon Network, and I have to say it looks wicked good. I often go to Cartoon Network to see the times and schedules for some of my favorite shows, and once in a while I will see little previews of upcoming shows or games that will be added to the airing or streaming list. Two days ago I was looking around and noticed one of those previews. Normally I wouldn't check out the upcoming shows but for some reason the colors stood out to me. The preview must be like only seconds long, but in those few seconds, I knew that the show is going to be a big hit. I will start the day by submitting one of the main characters of the animated series. You will learn "how to draw Finn", step by step. The show is called “Adventure Time with Finn and Jake”. The show follows the adventures of a twelve year old boy named Finn, and he is going to be seen almost always wearing his really cool white hat. He goes on these awesome adventures with a twenty eight year old dog named Jake, and Jake the dog has magical powers. Unfortunately since this is a brand new cartoon, and it's not being released until May of 2010, I really can't give you anymore information about this character named Finn. When the show airs there will be more detailed information on his character, and not only that but, I would have watched a few episodes enabling me to get a good idea on what exactly the series is about. Until then all I can do for you is show you "how to draw Finn from Adventure Time with Finn and Jake, step by step”. I will be back with another lesson on his esteemed old dog friend, Jake. STEP 1.
Finn should be a relatively easy character to draw. All you have to do is start with a circle for the head and then add the facial guidelines. Next draw a rectangular shape for his body and then draw the long leg lines.
STEP 2.
You will now start sketching out the design of Finn's awesome helmet that he is almost always going to be wearing in the series, and then draw or color in the two dots for Finn's eyes, and then a mouth. Finn's face does not have a nose so no need to draw one out. Next draw the beginning lines for his backpack and then draw a shirt line.
STEP 3.
You will now draw Finn's arms which are skinny and noodle looking. Sketch in his small stubby looking hands and then draw shirt sleeves in the mid section of his arms. Once that is done, you can finish draw the lining for his shirt and then move to the next step.
STEP 4.
Well guys, you are almost done. Start drawing the shape and style of Finn's shorts and then draw the top half of his legs.
STEP 5.
For your last drawing step all you have to do is draw the rest of his noodle shaped legs and then draw the shape and style of his shoes. Erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one to clean up the drawing.
STEP 6.
