Hello all and how is everyone doing today? I am going to be submitting some tutorials that will blow your mind, or at least have you mesmerized for a little bit. I was drawing live yesterday and I had such an awesome time. I had a record amount of viewers which is probably due to the fact that I was drawing something “EROTIC”. But that is not what I am about to submit right now. For the first tutorial of the day, I will be showing you “how to draw a bush step by step”. I know this may seem like a very boring and unwanted lesson, but believe it or not bushes are drawn everyday when you draw landscapes, and other drawing scenery. A bush can be anything really. They come in all different sizes and shapes, and even different species of bush. These botanicals are sometimes called “shrubs” as well. What is the difference between a shrub and or bush? Well, the only thing that separates the two plants is the size and living conditions. Bushes are stout plants and or tress that have a lot of branches. Plants like hedges are ideal trees to turn in to some fabulous topiary when cut by a professional topiary artist. Other types of bushes, shrubs, and hedges include, buxus, bay laurel, holly, myrtle, and the more common or popular shrub, the taxus. These bushes are the ones that you may have in your yard or see along the edges of other houses. They are recolonized by the small gooey red berries that they have attached to their branches. This is the bush that I drew and will submit for you all today. Learning “how to draw a bush” is going to be like writing the numbers 1, 2, 3. I hope you guys have fun with it, and maybe you can include this shrubbery in your next landscape drawing. I will be back in a few with more exciting lessons. Peace out kiddies and happy drawing!

How to Draw a Bush

how to draw a bush step 1

STEP 1.

As you can see drawing a bush is quite simple. The first thing you need to do is decide how big you want your shrub drawing to be. For me, I drew a medium sized bush. Draw a circle to the size of your choice and then add the guidelines in the middle so that it looks like a scope site.

STEP 2.

You will start sketching out the curly like outline for the bush drawing that you are sketching out now. As you can see I drew layers of leaves and or fluffy branching to make this tree look cartoonish.

STEP 3.

You will now draw shrubs underneath the bush as you see here and be sure to use the same technique, overlapping and folding the lines. Once that is done you can move to the next step.

STEP 4.

For your last drawing step, all you have to do is draw the scattered berries all over the bush you just drew and then start erasing all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.
