How to Draw Noodle from Gorillaz
I have been wanting to do this character for sometime now and all I needed was an excuse to do so. I'm sure everyone has heard of the band "Gorillaz" right? Well, I received a request not too long ago asking for me to do a tutorial on "how to draw Noodle from Gorillaz". Of course that was the only excuse I needed to start this awesome lesson. I drew Noodle live yesterday and that was one of the funnest days I have had during a live session. The band Gorillaz is a virtual band that was created by Damon Albarn, and Jamie Hewlett back in 1998, which means that this animated team has been around for eleven years. Noodle is the main guitarist of the band, and she also provides some of the vocal work as well. When she was just ten years old, she was found on the door step of the Gorillaz dwellings in a FedEx box. She got her name because when she first arrived she could not speak any English at all. The one English word she could say was "noodle". Originally from Osaka Japan, Noodle is now one of the more popular members of the Gorillaz. Her style, look, and talent is awesome and I think she has made a big impression on all of us fans. The videos for all of the Gorillaz songs are so anime like, and I think that watching them tells a unique story every time. Have fun guys learning "how to draw Noodle from Gorillaz step by step". STEP 1.
Let's draw Noodle. Start with a circle for the head and then add the facial guidelines. You will then draw out Noodle's body frame starting with the torso, hips, and then the arm, and leg lines. Draw the shapes for the hands and feet, and then move down to the next step.
STEP 2.
You will now sketch out the shape and style of Noodle's hair style and as you can see her bangs fall right over her eyes. Her hair is also a bit messy looking too. Next draw in her nose and then her right ear.
STEP 3.
You will now draw in Noodle's big friendly smile and then start sketching out her shirt, shoulders, some of her arms, and then part of her right hand. Once that is done draw the design lines on the sleeves of her shirt and then draw the collar and necklace as well.
STEP 4.
Here you will finish drawing the shapes of her arms and then her hands. When that is done you can then draw the arm bands on her left forearm. Be sure to sketch in her hands and fingers properly. Next, draw her knee high shorts and then draw the trim on the bottom of them as well.
STEP 5.
Draw the rest of her leg shapes and then draw the horizontal lines for her knee high socks. Once completed you can start sketching out the tops of her shoes which flap over the top.
STEP 6.
This is your last drawing step on Noodle and all you will need to do is draw the lining to end her shirt length and then draw in her belt. Detail and define her belt, and pants, and then you will also draw out the shape and style of her shoes. Start erasing all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one so you can clean up your drawing.
STEP 7.
Once you are done learning "how to draw Noodle from Gorillaz step by step", you should end up with a drawing that looks like the one you see here. Color her in and you are now all done.Post a comment
