How about another tutorial on a planet from outer space? This time I will show you "how to draw Neptune" which is a planet that is very beautiful in color. The whole planet is a vivid blue shade. What makes Neptune appear so blue? The blue clouds are from the methane gas that is most likely frozen. As some of you may know, methane gas is a fuel that we as humans use for heating and cooking. There is only two planets that can't be seen in the night sky without a telescope, Neptune is one of them, and the other is Pluto. Like Earth, Neptune is thirty times as far from the sun. A very interesting fact about Neptune and Pluto is, every two hundred forty eight years, Pluto will move inside of Neptune's orbit and remain there for twenty years. Neptune is 2,793,100,000 miles away from the sun, and only rotates around the sun once every one hundred sixty five Earth years. Wow, that is a long time. What do scientists think Neptune's surface is made from? Well, they believe that Neptune is made up of a few things, hydrogen, helium, water, and silicates. Because Neptune has thick layers of clouds that are always in constant motion, the cloud speeds are able to reach up to seven hundred miles per hour. Winds that fast on Earth, would blow everything away to kingdom come. Every planet is discovered by somebody right? Well who is responsible for Neptune's finding? It was a man that went by the name of John C. Adams. In 1843 this young astronomer believed that Neptune was at least one billion miles farther from the sun, which is also farther than Uranus is. Unfortunately the findings he sent to the Royal Astronomer of England, did not believe in his research. All in all Neptune is a very interesting planet to learn about, and as you can imagine there is much more to be said. Unfortunately I do not have the time to sit here and write everything down about Neptune, but I can most definitely show you "how to draw Neptune step by step". I will be back later with some more cool tutorials. But for now tackle this lesson and have fun with it!
