He is loud, crude, and evil. So brace yourselves because you are about to learn "how to draw Sephiroth". Everyone knows the popular video game Final Fantasy 7 right? How about Kingdom Hearts? Or the new Final Fantasy movie Advent Children? Advent Children is the recent sequel movie dedicated the popular video game. Its takes place in Midgar after an explosion created by a large draconic beast. A trio of white haired brothers are remnants of Sephiroth and are after Jehovah’s head. They force Rufus to give up the Jehovah so one of them can become Sephiroth. At the end of the movie, the leader of the brothers, Kadaj, gets the material and transforms into Sephiroth. Later Sephiroth and Cloud fight to the death. Overall, Cloud defeats him and is aware that Sephiroth will come back. The story is then continued through the new Final Fantasy game Dirge Cerberus. Nevertheless, everyone loves the Sephiroth and Cloud character. They are very popular. These two characters along with others were created by Square Soft games. So what type of weapons does Cloud and Sephiroth have? Sephiroth has seven foot long Nodachi or a Masamune. Most appearances, he is usually equipped with a Nodachi. These swords are very popular in Japanese and Chinese cultures. As for Cloud, he has a magical sword called the Buster Sword. This sword is ridiculously oversized but still game players find it cool. So now that you know about these cool characters. I remember when I first played Final Fantasy 7. I also own the movie. These are both characters that I love out of all the Final Fantasy games. I took a reference from the actual Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children movie cover and made my own. I used the same pose, so that everyone is familiar with the character. This pose that Sephiroth is in is the famous and most common pose of the Advent Children movie. So I first started the image by looking at the movie cover and sketching out a base for Sephiroth. Then I scanned it to Photoshop and colored it in. It took me a total of three hours for the lucid coloring. I hope this fan tutorial will help you draw a better Sephiroth in the future. Enjoy!

STEP 1.
In this first step what you are going to do is draw out the guidelines and circle shapes for Sephiroth's body. First start at the head and draw a, egg shape for the head and sketch the facial guidelines in the face. Next draw a rib shape for the torso. And the only shapes left to draw are the shapes for the hands and the feet. Next draw the joining lines that are attached to the body. That will conclude this step.
STEP 2.
Now here you will start to sketch out parts of Sephiroth's outer body like the arms, chest, and legs. After you sketch out the actual body parts, you can then start sketching in the hands and long jacket that sways in the wind. After that draw in the face by sketching in the eyes,(which are closed), nose and mouth. Now you can move to step 3. But before you do, when you draw out the top half of the sleeves make sure you draw a wrinkling effect.
STEP 3.
In this step which is step 3, you will be drawing and sketching out his long grayish white hair. You will also be adding definition by sketching out the details in the shoulder pads and long leather coat that Sephiroth wears. After you sketch out the details in this step you can move down to step 4. But first make sure the bottom of the pants and boots get a bit of detail as well.
STEP 4.
This is the final step as far as drawing and sketching out Sephiroth. What you will be doing here is sketching out the length of his hair and adding the definition to the actual strands as well. Sketch out the fine detail and definition on his coat such as the buttons on both sides of the jacket. make sure you take your time when your sketching out the hair. Add a bit more detail to the pants, shoes, and gloves. After you complete these steps you can erase all the guidelines and circle shapes.
STEP 5.
