1

Draw the guidelines for your legs and then draw the four shapes in total for the heel of the shoe and the toe of the shoe.

2

You will now start sketching out the shape of the nicely shaped legs as you see here. When that is done you can move to the next step. Be sure not to draw straight looking blocky legs by adding shape and curve to the leg lines,.

3

Start sketching out the high heels shoes. Start with the shaping of her shoe and then draw out the back and heel of the shoe. I wanted these heels to be at least three inches in length. Be sure to sketch in the definition and detail as well.

4

You will now finish the shape and lining of the pretty high heel shoes. Erase all the guidelines and shapes to clean up your art work.

5

When you are done with this sketch your legs and shoes should look like the one you see here. Color in your shoes and you have just finished this lesson on "how to draw high heels, step by step".

Description: This is a very simple lesson that I am going to do because a member asked if I could submit a tutorial on “how to draw heels” step by step. These shoes have been available for woman for ages it seems. Even back in the olden days women were wearing some form of heel whether it be from a laced up boot, or a platform shoe. We girls like the fashion of these pretty designed shoes right? Well has anyone ever really thought about who developed these shoes or when a heeled shoe was made? I did some research of my own and found that the heeled shoe has been around since the fifteen hundreds. You see, back in the western days horse riders, male and female, had a frequent problem with keeping their feet in the stir-ups of their saddles. So because of that the “riders heel” was created so that the shoe wouldn't slip through the stir-ups giving a more stable handling ride. These boots had a heel that was one and one fourth inches in height, and they were eventually called “cowboy boots”. By the sixteen hundreds men started wearing a fashion that required a heel of up to four inches. The difference between the two heels was one thing, one was for work and the other was for pleasure. By the time the sixteen hundreds came, men wore heels just like woman to make a fashion statement. High heels since then have become somewhat as a fashion phenomenon, as a model figure for grown men, for pleasure, and for simple beauty. Through my research I did not find any one person that is literally responsible for the creation of the heel. Today there are hundreds of fashion designers that design their own unique looking shoe in body, shape, and size. The low heels of today is less than two and a half inches, heels that range between two and a half to three and a half inches are considered mid level heels, and heels that start at four inches and up are considered a high heels. There is a few different styles of the high heel as well, there is the stiletto, pump, block, tapered, blade, and wedge. I think that these shoes came out looking pretty good. I love how the legs came out and how the shoes look very stylish and simple. I have to go because there is a lot more tutorials coming your way. Have fun learning “how to draw heels, step by step”. Peace people and happy drawing.
