How to Draw a Tribal Flower Tattoo

1

Draw the basic form of the flower petals as shown. Each one should seem to overlap the petal to its right. The petal on the bottom should be sightly larger than the rest.

2

Start filling in the tribal design along the top petals. Not how the petals you fill in are NOT on the guidelines- they rather wrap around them.

3

Fill in more of the petals on the left. Start doing the tribal design on the bottom petal...but don't finish it off just yet- this petal will be different than the rest!

4

Now take a good look at how I filled in the bottom petal. See how it doesn't follow the guideline? Instead, it juts out to the right before curving to meet the tip of the guideline and then it points downwards. Try to mimic the drawing on this step-

5

Now this is the easy step. Just erase all the guidelines inside of the petals and your almost done! In the center of the top two petals, draw another tribal shape as shown in purple to complete your tribal flower.

6

When you are done erasing all the guidelines and filling it in, this is what your tribal flower should look like! And you are totally done! :D

Description: I've been really into tribal art and tattoos in this short period of time and so I'll probably be dishing out a ton of tribal art tutorials for the next week or so. XD Anywho, I thought this flower was beautiful and decided to teach you all how to draw it. It looks almost like a Hawaiian flower...or maybe not. Whatever- let's get to drawing! Believe it or not, this tribal design is pretty easy to draw...so let's get to work!
