How to Draw a Cartoon Turtle
Hi everyone I am finally back with more drawing fun. I haven’t uploaded any tutorials for a couple of days but that is all going to change now. If your wondering why there hasn’t been any new activity going on, it’s because I was at a concert in Mansfield Mass to see two of my all time favorite bands, Marylin Manson, and Slayer. Needless to say they both owned the whole show. Anyways, I am going to submit some backed-up lessons that was supposed to go up like three days ago but I never got around to doing them. For my first backed-up tutorial I will show you “how to draw a cartoon turtle" step by step. Cartoon turtles are animals that is most liked by children because it reminds them of their favorite turtle in the world, Franklin. I love Franklin and he is the one that inspired me to draw this cartoon turtle. Although I have to say that the little guy was also requested by a member as well so I do have to admit that. The lesson is pretty simple like all cartoon tutorials of mine are. All you have to do is draw a shell, head, and some legs to complete this lesson. All the instructions in the steps are easy to read and the steps themselves are simple to follow. The background color I chose for the turtle is supposed to make the cartoon animal stick out a bit. I have much work to do so I am afraid that I have to go. I will be back with more submissions for you all so keep your drawing eyes open. STEP 1.
As you can see this tutorial is going to be super simple. Start by drawing the shape of the cartoon turtles head and then add the facial guidelines. Next draw a long neck line and then attach it to the circle shape that will be the turtle shell. Draw three leg lines as well.
STEP 2.
Begin sketching out the shape of the cartoon turtles head and snout. As you know turtles have a triangular shaped muzzle and or nose so you must convey this through your drawing. Once that is done you can then begin to give the neck line some shape.
STEP 3.
Draw the bottom lip and or mouth and then finish off the shape of the cartoon turtles neck. Begin to draw out the shape of the turtles legs in the front and when that is done, you can move to the fourth step. See how easy this tutorial is?
STEP 4.
You will finish the shape of the head and then use the guidelines to draw in the shapes of the eyes as well as shade them in a bot. Sketch out some cute eyebrows and then draw a rim for the turtles shell as you see here. Once that is done finish off the shape of the front legs and then add some toe nails. Draw the end of the shell and then move to the last drawing step.
STEP 5.
All you have to do here is draw out the back legs and toes, and then draw the pattern that is one the turtles shell and the small nub of a tail. Erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one and then you can move to the line are step to see if your cartoon turtle looks the way it should.
STEP 6.
