Hello Dragoart members and visitors! Today I have a special treat for all those die hard Death Note anime fans out there. The tutorial I’ll be submitting today is "how to draw chibi Ryuk" from Death Note. Ryuk is a shinigami that came upon the human world due to boredom. He dropped a death notebook purposely so that someone would find it. Ryuk wanted to tour and analyze the human world because all shinigami’s do is play cards. When Light Yagami or Ratio came to pick up the notebook, Ryuk got his eyes set on Yagami. Light killed some bullies and was extremely amazed that the notebook actually worked. Light calls himself Kira, and he occasionally feeds Ryuk apples. Ryuk couldn’t last very long without apples. He says it’s like a drug to him. It took me a while to get the head to match up with the body. You should have seen how he looked before I tweaked it. Ryuk is my personal favorite Death Note character besides L Lawliet. I love L, more then I like Ryuk. This tutorial took me about two and a half hours to complete. I really hope you peeps will enjoy this tutorial, I know I did! Have fun learning on "how to draw Ryuk from Death Note" anime. Peace out ya’ll!

STEP 1.
To draw Ryuk you will need to make some guidelines and shapes. First draw an oblong circle shape for his head and then add the facial guidelines. Next draw the shape of his body which at this point looks like a curved bell. You will then draw the wing and arm lines before you go.
STEP 2.
Here you will use those facial guidelines you drew in step one to draw out Ryuk's face. Start with the eye shapes and then draw the nose line. Next draw the big wide mouth line that looks like a smile right now.
STEP 3.
Sketch out the hair style which is upright and spiky looking. You will then add the eyebrows, eyeballs, and then draw two nostril holes. Draw the teeth and detail the lips and or mouth better. Before you leave this step draw the beginning lines for Ryuks wings.
STEP 4.
You will sketch out the rest of his wings as you see it done here and then draw the left arm and hand. This chibi version of Ryuk is coming along nicely.
STEP 5.
For your last drawing step all you have to do is draw out the other arm and then sketch out his body and legs. Erase all the gudielines and shapes that you drew in step one.
STEP 6.
Here is what your finished Ryuk should look like when you are done. Color him in and you have learned "how to draw Ryuk from Death Note" step by step.Comments: Post Comment
