Hey Scooby, where are you buddy? In this tutorial I will guide you to learn how to draw Shaggy from the hit cartoon series Scooby Doo. Now, if you asked me what character from a cartoon series I would consider a burnout, my answer would hands down be Norvill “Shaggy” Rogers which is his real name that was created for him. He is the owner and best buddy and friend to your favorite Great Dane, Scooby Doo. These two are like peanut butter and jelly with strong characteristics of the 60s era. Shaggy is a genuine hippy with his green baggy shirt, brown bell bottom pants, scruffy brown hair, and a few whiskers that stick out on his face. Shaggy has a trademark way of talking, his voice at times can sound high pitched and he almost always starts and ends his sentences with “like” or “man”. Both Shaggy and Scooby are a bunch of goof balls that share an insatiable appetite for food, Scooby snacks, and more food. You will always find the two hiding from monsters behind a rock or a tree, and even at times posing as statues to try and fool the creatures that chase after them. Shaggy is such a funny burn out character that he doesn’t even see Scooby as a dog, he sees him more like a person, which is why he holds countless conversations with his four legged friend. Aside from being a flake, scary cat, eating machine, hippy, he also drives the famous mystery machine when Fred isn’t available to do so. I know you will have a ton of fun learning how to draw Norvill “Shaggy” Rogers. The step by step instructions are easy enough to put you on your way to drawing Scoobys best friend and pal. If you like the Scooby Doo cartoons like I do you will find that the movie made back in 2002 from the series is a laugh riot all in itself. So if you haven’t seen it, get it, I can assure you, your stomach will be hurting from laughing so hard. Shaggy and Scooby really is a bunch of off the wall characters.
