How to Draw Shaggy

1

Okay first things first. We are going to start off this tutorial by drawing out the frame of Shaggy's body. Begin by making the head and then draw in the facial guidelines as well as the neck, and shoulder guides.

2

Using the head guide, draw the oblong face and then draw the bushy style hair and make sure the bangs as they flow to the left side.

3

Add some detailing to the left side of Shaggy's hair and then begin drawing the eyes, nose, and then draw the mouth as well as his chin spikes for the balding beard.

4

It's now time to draw his skinny, scrawny neck and then draw his big baggy shirt. Notice how the collar droops a bit because it is so loose fitting.

5

Finish drawing Shaggy's shirt like you see here and then sketch in the stitching to the sleeves, and add some wrinkle to the bottom of the shirt. When you are done, move along to the next step.

6

You will now begin drawing out Shaggy's long monkey like arms. When that is done, draw in his relaxed hands and then move to step seven.

7

You will now finish Shaggy by drawing out his legs, and his big long feet. Notice how Shaggy looks like he is slouching as he stands there with a smirk on his silly face.

8

Once you have cleaned up the drawing freeing it from mistakes and guides, you can start coloring in Shaggy to your liking. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial on Shaggy from Scooby Doo.

Description: Hey Scooby, where are you buddy? In this tutorial I will guide you to learn how to draw Shaggy from the hit cartoon series Scooby Doo. Now, if you asked me what character from a cartoon series I would consider a burnout, my answer would hands down be Norvill “Shaggy” Rogers which is his real name that was created for him. He is the owner and best buddy and friend to your favorite Great Dane, Scooby Doo. These two are like peanut butter and jelly with strong characteristics of the 60s era. Shaggy is a genuine hippy with his green baggy shirt, brown bell bottom pants, scruffy brown hair, and a few whiskers that stick out on his face. Shaggy has a trademark way of talking, his voice at times can sound high pitched and he almost always starts and ends his sentences with “like” or “man”. Both Shaggy and Scooby are a bunch of goof balls that share an insatiable appetite for food, Scooby snacks, and more food. You will always find the two hiding from monsters behind a rock or a tree, and even at times posing as statues to try and fool the creatures that chase after them. Shaggy is such a funny burn out character that he doesn’t even see Scooby as a dog, he sees him more like a person, which is why he holds countless conversations with his four legged friend. Aside from being a flake, scary cat, eating machine, hippy, he also drives the famous mystery machine when Fred isn’t available to do so. I know you will have a ton of fun learning how to draw Norvill “Shaggy” Rogers. The step by step instructions are easy enough to put you on your way to drawing Scoobys best friend and pal. If you like the Scooby Doo cartoons like I do you will find that the movie made back in 2002 from the series is a laugh riot all in itself. So if you haven’t seen it, get it, I can assure you, your stomach will be hurting from laughing so hard. Shaggy and Scooby really is a bunch of off the wall characters.
