How to Draw a Cartoon Phoenix

STEP 1.

To draw your cartoon phoenix, you will need to sketch out some guidelines and shapes like you see here. Start with a circle for the head and then add the facial guidelines. You will then add a neck line and attach it to the chest shape. Draw another circle for the body and then the outlined shapes for the cartoon phoenix's wings and tail. Lastly draw the leg lines.

STEP 2.

You will now sketch in the shape of the cartoon phoenix's beak and eye. Once that is done move to the next step.

STEP 3.

Now sketch out the feathers for the wings in more detail and then sketch out the shape of the chest, and thighs. You will then draw the shape for the back of the cartoon phoenix's neck and draw the feathers on top of the head.

STEP 4.

You will now draw the surrounding flames for the cartoon phoenix and this will represent the power of the mythical bird. Take your time when you draw the flaming fire, when that is done give the phoenix and eye and some legs and feet.

STEP 5.

You will end this tutorial step with the sketching of the beautiful tail that the phoenix is known for. Take your time to do things right and when you are done don't forget to add some definition and detail to your drawing. Erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.

STEP 6.
