Start this step off by drawing the basic guidelines that you will need to help you sketch this cartoon dragon out easy. Look at the line art and take it step by step always starting at the top and working your way down the paper. The only thing you w

All the lines in step 1 are called position lines. Like I said before I use these particular types of lines to help guide you through the tutorial better. After you drew out you lining, you can go ahead and start to sketch out the cartoon dragon. Dra

This step is the last step and it is short. What you will do is draw out the wings on the cartoon dragon and finish off the hands, toe nails, and tail. After you do all that you can go ahead and erase all the guidelines that you drew in step 1. Erase

Description: This is my version of a cartoon dragon. I figured all the dragons I submitted here online are all pretty much intermediate, so I said to myself “let me do a tutorial on how to draw a cartoon dragon for kids”. I mean I don’t know just how many kids come to this site, but I would think a lot do. The first cartoon dragon I remember growing up as a kid was “Puff the Magic Dragon”, I think that was one of the first dragon cartoons made wasn’t it? Anyways, drawing dragons has always been a passion of mine since I was a small tot. One of my first dragons I ever learned to draw was a fire breathing dragon. I can’t believe how much I have learned since then. As I got older I started to get into dinosaurs which really opened up my imagination. I would sit and think of all the different types of half dragon half dinosaur species I could experiment with threw my art work. I never really used to many step by step books; I basically taught myself how to draw dragons and dinosaurs all by myself. I know this dragon picture for this tutorial isn’t all that great, but some kid is going to look at that and say “wow cool” (I hope). I will say this tutorial is called how to draw a baby dragon. The instructions are super simple, and I think it would be fun for anyone to try out this sketch.
