How to Draw Barbed Wire
More tattoo designs on the way and this time I bet you will recognize this body art because it was one of the very first armband tattoos that became a pop phenomenon. I will show you all “how to draw barbed wire” step by step. Barbed wire is a particular form of fencing made from wire. It typically has sharp pointed knots that is supposed to either stop, or cripple an object that tries to pass through the fenced in property. Sometimes a small barbed wire fence will be used to stop cow from passing off farming property. Barbed wire is also used in the yards and surrounding buildings of prison institutions with the wire being placed on top of a metal chain linked fence to ensure captivity. If someone was to climb over barbed wire fencing, you can be sure that they will be inflicted with moderate to severe injuries to the human flesh especially if the skin is frail like an arm, leg, face, or hand. As for tattoo art, barb wire is a common design that is inked on several places of the human body; wrist, upper arm, calf, neck, chest, and even on the ankle. I can remember seeing Pamela Anderson with a barb wire tattoo on her arm when she was a guest on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. That is when I thought the design was cool, but now for a woman. Anyway this tutorial will show you how to draw barb wire step by step. There is three different styles that I drew for you all to learn from and hopefully you like them all and they become of use to you and your art. I have to go again but I shall return with two more lessons still to come. Don’t climb any potentially dangerous fences ya’ll.

STEP 1.
To start, draw a series of wavy lines for the guidelines of the wire. The top barb wire is a single strand and the bottom has two strands of wire that are twisted together. Once that is done draw the knots that look like beads which are spaced out between two inches from each other.
STEP 2.
Now you will start drawing out the vertical lines that are tightly weaved together and then draw the lines for the spikes that make this wire rip through your skin. When that is done you can move to the next step.
STEP 3.
Okay here is your last drawing step and all you have to do is thicken the wire like you see here. The sharpened points are differently placed as well as you will have to thicken those as well. There is very little guidelines so you don't really have to worry about erasing those unless you have to.
STEP 4.
Here is what your wire should come out looking like when you are done. After that you can color it in, or print them out to take to your favorite tattoo parlor for inking. I hope you liked learning "how to draw barb wire" step by stepComments: Post Comment
