How to Draw a Bible
How about a nice religious lesson on “how to draw the Bible” step by step. I was trying to figure out what I should do for a really original lesson that people would like. As I was thinking, I glanced over at my bedside table and saw the bible lying there. I thought to myself, “that’s it”. I wanted to draw a very simple and clean looking bible and believe me the book was a bit complex to draw. Did you ever wonder what some of the facts are when it comes to the holy bible? Well since my grandmother is an avid bible reader and sometimes even preacher, needless to say I have my share of knowledge of what the bible is and its history. First things first, the bible has a total of sixty six books written inside of its pages. There is one thousand one hundred eighty nine chapters, which make up thirty one thousand, one hundred one verses. Those statistics are just for the Bible which is broken up with the old and new testament. The Old Testament only has thirty nine books, nine hundred twenty nine chapters, and twenty three thousand, one hundred fourteen verses. There is also the New Testament and that holds twenty seven books, two hundred sixty chapters and only seven thousand nine hundred, fifty seven chapters. Now a book that has so many things going on surely must have some interesting facts right? Well what I have found out is the book of John has only three chapters making it the smallest book from the new Testament. The longest verse in the book is from Revelations 20:4 and the longest chapter is from the book of Luke and Luke also has the largest book. If a reverend wanted to read the entire bible out load it would take him approximately seventy hours or more which means you would have a church day that lasted almost three days. Just in the United States alone the Bible sells roughly one hundred sixty eight thousand books a day. So I guess you could say that the holy bible is the top selling book in the U.S. I have a really old looking bible that was given to me by my great grandfather. It has full color pictures of the Jordan River and things like that. Anyways I will let you start this tutorial on “how to draw a bible", step by step. STEP 1.
This will be a relatively easy lesson to accomplish. All you have to do is draw a square box shape for the bible and then draw a cross on the front which is for the letters that say "Holy Bible"
STEP 2.
You will now sketch out the lining for the cover of the book as seen here and then draw a nice cross as well as shade it in. You will then draw the back lining of the book and then move to the next step.
STEP 3.
0All you have to do here for your last drawing step is sketch out some page lines on the corner of the book and then sketch out the inscription that read "Holy Bible". Erase the guidelines on the cover and then move to the final line art step.
STEP 4.
