We will begin by drawing the guide shape for the face then sketch in the facial guidelines.

2

Next, we will define the shape of the face which has different angles. When that is done you can move to step three.

3

We will now draw in the hood that surrounds the porcelain mask. Of course you can just not even add this part of the concept if you choose.

4

Let's work on the face by drawing the angled eyebrows, then draw in the eyes as well as the lashes for the eyes. Since the face is being viewed from a slight under angle, the eyes will be drawn in that manner.

5

Lastly, draw in the nostrils for the nose and then draw in the mouth and teeth. The lips should be thick and plump and the teeth should barely show. Erase the mistakes and you are all done.

6

When all is said and done your drawing should look like the art you see here. All that's left to do now is color in your work.

Description: So today I will work on showing you all how to draw a porcelain face, step by step. I wanted to make this drawing because when I was in the mall the other day I was looking at these beautiful porcelain face masks that you would hang on the wall for decorative pieces and I couldn't believe some of the art that went into one of the hand sculpted masks. The coloring I did on this lesson is just a plain black and white concept. I wanted to keep it simple because I know folks will use their own color pallet when adding character to their drawing. Anyways, have fun and don't forget to be creative by customizing your artwork.
