Drawing Concept Art

1

Here you will start by drawing the guides for the two bodies. This should consist of the head shapes and torso shapes.

2

Starting with the soul, draw in the profile of the face which is shown to you here. The head is tilted back and the mouth is screaming open. Draw the eyes, ear, hairline and then the long neck and chest.

3

We will now draw in the side view of her body by finishing the torso. When that is done draw the stomach, thigh and arm. Add all the definition to the body when you're done.

4

Finish off the first figure by drawing the hair as it is one whole piece flowing. Draw the other thigh or leg and then her hand.

5

Let us get started with the second figure that I cal spirit. Draw in the face shape as well as the face from a profile view. Add the hair line and proceed to the next step.

6

We will now draw in the long flowing hair and add the detailing to the hair. When you are done with that task you can sketch out the shape of the neck and then her shoulder/arm.

7

We will finish off the drawing by completing the body. Draw the chest, torso, thigh, rear-end and then her arm. Add the detailing to the body and move to step eight which is the line art.

8

Here is the line art. Go ahead and color in your two figures. One being a soul and the other a spirit.

Description: Even though the title doesn't convey what this lesson is supposed to represent, the concept piece you see before you is going to show you how to draw concept art in the form of two figures that are one. The red woman is suffering from pain, confusion and rage. I call her the tortured soul and the second woman who is much more at peace is the spirit breaking free. The drawing lesson is going to be pretty simple to recreate. It may look difficult as a colored image, but that's only because of the effects. I do hope you like this concept lesson, I love how it came out.
