1

Make an oval or disk shape for the top of the ankle. Draw in the sides of the leg or ankle like so as well.

2

We will sketch out the skin texture next by drawing the slits, cuts and uneven rim. Add skin texture too.

3

You can now take the time as you will draw the maggots as they pool over the side. There are also some maggots coming out of the skin for more effect.

4

Draw in the bones in the center of the leg which is cut at the ankle. Add detailing to the bones to make them defined. Erase the mistakes and guides than you're done.

5

Here is the line art now that you are done. Color in the drawing and show someone what gross thing you did.

Description: Are you ready to be grossed out big time? I hope so because this lesson may just make you throw up chunks once you look at it in detail. Today, I will do something a little different and show you how to draw maggots, step by step. I honestly don't know why I never did a lesson like this before. I mean if you think about it, maggots are insects. They are molted or baby flies when in their maggot stages called larva stage. A fly lays an egg, the egg develops into a hatchling, the hatchling turns in to larva and then the maggot goes through the pupation stage before looking like a house fly. These maggots are pouring out of a cavity that has been eaten voraciously. I had a lot of fun with this lesson, and the actual protein or meat in this picture was inspired by the zombie or walkers from the Walking Dead that airs on AMC. Have fun drawing maggots folks. I know it's gross, but take one for the cause and learn to draw something new.
