How to Draw a Baby Cow

Time for another great anime animal tutorial on the way to all you DragoArt fans and members that love learning "how to draw anime baby animals". This next lesson is going to be on “how to draw a baby cow” step by step. I really did have so much fun with this sketch. I plan on drawing many more anime baby animals in the future because they have become some what of a popular concept on the site. The cow that I drew came out so awesome and cute. I already have a cow tutorial on the site, but it is supposed to be on a realistic level instead of an anime/cartoon level. There is so many different baby animals that can be made into tutorials and if any of you guys out there want a specific animal, all you have to do is ask. I really think that this lesson will make it to the top 50 and when it does I will be giving it a “woop woop”! As we all know an infant cow is not called a “baby cow”. Instead they are called calves or calf. I think when a new calf is born they look so incredibly cute you just want to take them home with you and keep them as a pet in your backyard. Obviously I know I can’t do that unless I live on a farm, but all in all they are one of the most popular animals on farms that other people own. A character that I love happens to be a cow and his name is Otis from “Barn Yard”. He is one crazy dude and he really does know how to party and keep all the other barn animals in line. If you like animals, you will love this lesson on “how to draw a baby cow” step by step. I know that he came out looking like an anime baby animal, which is why I placed this tutorial under the “anime” section in the “animals’ category. Right now I have to get a move on because I still have a lot more tutorials to submit. But when I am done I will come back on the site and chat with my friends that I have made on the site. So until my return, I bid thee farewell once again.

STEP 1.

This is going to be a very simple lesson to follow even though the finished art looks much harder. All you have to do is draw two circles, one for the head and one for the body. In the circle shape for the head you will need to draw facial guidelines. On the baby cow's body circle all you need to draw is three vertical lines for the legs.

STEP 2.

You will now draw out the shape of the baby cow's nose as you see it done for you here. It is sort of shaped like a small rounded boomerang. Once that is done you can then add the nostril lines and then draw out the shapes of the baby cow ears as seen here.

STEP 3.

yes I drew the baby cow eating some grass so that means you will have to sketch out the grass lines like you see it here. Once that is finished you will use the facial guidelines to draw out the big circle shapes for the anime baby cow eyes. Detail the inside of the right ear and then draw an earring on the left. Add the lumps for his premature horns and then sketch in the hair lining on the horns.

STEP 4.

You will draw out the rest of the baby cow's head and then draw out the anime baby cow's body and legs as seen. Make sure you add in-lines for the hooves.

STEP 5.

This is your last drawing step and all you have to do is draw in the three small circles for the eyes and then draw out the markings on the baby cow's body the way they are drawn out for you here. Erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one and then move onto the next step.

STEP 6.

Once the cow markings are colored in as well as the big innocent eyes, you will end up with a cow that looks like the one you see here. Color in the rest of the cow and then you have just completed this tutorial on "how to draw a baby cow step by step".
