How to Draw a Tribal Rose Tattoo

1

Start with a simple circle and then a guide down the center.

2

You will start this step by drawing the base of the tribal rose. Start with two simple rose petals that will be the base of the flower.

3

Next, draw and color in a few more petals. The ones you will draw next vary in thickness and size as you can see.

4

For step four, we will draw in the inside of the rose creating a full bloomed flower. Start by drawing a whales tail like shape, then color it in. You will then add the other small pieces of the rose like so without each piece connecting or touching

5

We will begin drawing the stem of the rose. Start with a swoop or loops like so.

6

As you can see here we will add the leafy parts of the rose. These leaves will flow down the entire stem as you will see in later steps.

7

Finish the stem and when it's done you should have a long, curly stem that ends with a semi straight line. Add detailing to the leaves on the stem as well.

8

Here is where you will finish your flower by adding the thorns. Take your time so they fill the stem from base to top. Erase whatever mistakes you might have made as well.

9

That's it, you are all done. Now you can color in the drawing or take the finished line art to your favorite tattooist to get an ink job done.
