The first thing we need to do is draw in the top lid line for the mermaid's eye. When you do this make sure the lining forms an angled point.

2

We will draw in the lower lid line and then sketch in the lashes. The lining should be a bit thick to hold a dark shade.

3

Draw in the crease of the eye, then add some lashes to the upper eyelid. When that is done sketch in a cluster of small scales because after all this is a mermaid.

4

Add some small bubbles on the upper cheek area just under the end corner of the eye like so. The bubbles should be various sizes.

5

Almost done folks. Here we will draw the eyebrow. Since mermaids are sea dwelling creatures, her eyebrow should be thick, dense and bold. Color in the eyebrow and move to step six.

6

Lastly, draw the water line as well as the shape of the actual eyeball. When that is done you can draw the lining for the iris and color in the pupil. If there are mistakes erase them now.

7

That's it, the lining is done. You can now have fun coloring in your eye design which is mermaid themed.

Description: Now that Halloween has come and gone, I think it's time that we move on to some lessons that are not geared towards the holiday anymore. So, having said that let me start the day with a few lessons that will be on a variety of things including more eye themed tuts, as well as some logos, anime characters, and pop culture gestures. I will begin with this lesson on how to draw a mermaid eye, step by step. I don't know if this is the type of makeup concept you would want to wear on a daily basis, but I did want to do something pretty and something that I love doing. I combined these two wants and came up with mermaid eyes. I love how the end results came out. It captures everything that a mermaid would have like the water bubbles, some scales on the brow bone and some glitter on the lashes. Of course mermaids wouldn't have regular glitter on their eyes because it would just wash off in the sea. Maybe it's sand or some other material that they use to keep the sheen. If you like drawing eyes, you will definitely love drawing mermaid eyes.
