How to Draw a Log Cabin House
Now that you guys have learned how to draw a house, you will now be taught “how to draw a log cabin", step by step”. A log cabin is a house that looks like it was built with just a bunch of tree logs. Remember those canisters that had a bunch of toy brown logs with green tops for roofs and red square plastic pieces for the windows? Well that is basically what you are doing with that toy is building log cabin houses. Well anyway, log cabins are popular and commonly seen around country areas and on camp grounds. Did you ever wonder who it was that brought this ingenious idea to life? Well after some extensive research, I found out that log cabins started being built during the seventeenth and eighteenth century by the Swiss and Germans who came to America with the skills and knowledge of building houses using log construction. Even though the Swiss and Germans introduced log house living to America, the Scottish and Irish eventually went from stone houses to log homes and spread their knowledge across the frontier. Now remember, log housing units were also built for temporary housing for soldiers during the Revolutionary War and for commercial purposes as well like; schools, churches, saloons, barns, gristmills, sheriff quarters, and other structures. With this lesson you will learn “how to draw a log cabin house step by step”. I shall return in a few with something new. So stay tuned for my return.

STEP 1.
Draw a nice big rectangle square or as big as you want your log cabin. You will then draw three horizontal lines and one vertical line.
STEP 2.
Now here you will start drawing out the shape of the roof as seen here on the far right and far left. Next draw two log shapes to make the triangle shape for the walkway roof. Draw a door and then separate the two shapes form the main part of the house.
STEP 3.
As you can see here you will start drawing a series of circles on the left side of the log cabin and on the sides of the front windows as drawn out for you here. Draw the windows and then add an in-line on the door. See how easy this is?
STEP 4.
You will now draw eight or nine horizontal lines to detail the roof of the log cabin and then the house it self needs the same lines as well. On the ends of each log that is used to build a log cabin, they have points at the tips. You will add these pointed shapes on the exposed logs on the cabin.
STEP 5.
Detail the windows for the log cabin and then draw out and detail teh brick chimney. You will then draw the door knob and start erasing the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.
STEP 6.
This is what your log cabin should look like when you are done. Color in the wooden structure and you have just finished this tutorial on "how to draw a log cabin house step by step".Comments: Post Comment
